The Whisper Of Ilere
By Anjie

The title held in shrouded fear,
A whispered word, Ilere, Ilere.

Menacing, the hallowed breeze,
Her name seems whispered by the trees.
A myth most fear to dare explore,
Her legend lost in ancient lore.
Sequestered far from sunlight's sheen,
Where jade-flecked wings are seldom seen.

The name the trees alone will hear,
A whispered word, Ilere, Ilere.

Her sanctuary seems lost to all,
A world to beckon, and enthrall.
The ancient woods so eerie stand,
They grow and bow to her command.
Each groaning bough from barren tree,
Shall bend and break at her decree.

In vibrant emerald, she'll appear.
A whispered word, Ilere, Ilere.

Darkened hair does tumble back,
A tangle of dark jade and black.
Uncanny light in intense eyes,
Earth's magic dwells beneath this guise.
Dire warning comes with softest word
Of coming evil, now we've heard.

The sign that something dark dwells near,
But what's her role? Ilere, Ilere.

Dorak's Challenge
By lande159

A treasure chest,
A sacred key,
Whatever thing
Unlocks the sea,
To Dorak the Krawk a challenge
Such as these
Is welcome...

Since Youth he's been
A nautical win,
Scavenging seas,
Following the breeze,
And changing deep within.
None has ever loved
The waves
So well...

Facing danger
Around every bend,
Treading waves
Through a dark
Night's end,
Just as a pirate does...

And in early morning,
When daylight breaks the sky,
Who will face another challenge
With a well thought battle cry?
Of savory victory,
And so it goes...

Come now, ye dark times,
Come this way,
How much time
Has thou traveled by day?
To face my mighty
Pirate's strength?
To come across my ship
At length?
Through seas, cold
Of one hundred miles?
To face and obtain
Irresistible trials?
I accept ye summons...

Calm Waters
By Dismelatimer

Sleek-furred friends swim silently
Past where cities used to be;
While at home, I lie abed,
And try to rest my weary head,
I dream Old Maraqua in the sea
As tides still pull inside of me.

Where whirlpool spun a pit remains,
Bubbles rise in watery refrain,
But coral towers now stand tall
Where once was no city at all.
The new can never be the same,
Though future comes and past lives wane.

The old will always pass away
But what we've built now, we hope will stay.
Time's currents running ever swift,
The present is our finest gift.
Dear friends who join us in the fray,
Lift glasses -- here's to today!

Dorak
By Jitterbug353

Ford the sea to a southern coast -
Krawk Island 'tis what it will boast.
A Krawk ye may find
Not at all unkind,
Protecting his fortune the most.

If ye were to ask him his name,
"Dorak," he would say, "is me fame."
Dubloons, he adores
To spend at fine stores
(His hobby 'tis not one of shame).

But despite his taste and good looks,
This Krawk hides a fear from the books.
'Tis water he dreads
Submergin' his head,
Leavin' his dubloons for the crooks.

Ironically, he loves his boat.
Once, on the hot sand he did float
Until he found shame
With a cruel nickname,
"Captain Lenny" made him the goat.

Dorak is a smart Krawk indeed,
And laughter is what he won't heed.
Dubloons came to mind,
Off port he could find
His fortune on that water steed!

The Heroes of Altador
By Snoopy164000000

The Uni is sleeping; away flees the light,
Receding; embracing her now
Is the night.
In dozing and waking her mind cries
"Away!"
Gone is the tedious blur of the day.
And there - she can hear it - the sound
Of the shore,
As she sails on a sunrise
Towards Altador.

Waves in the distance, all broken in sight
Now crashing
Now stroking
The sand with its might.
Her wandering footfalls are not without aim;
She walks through the city now,
Shaking her mane.

And there! - she can see it;
All shrouded in gold,
The great Hall of Heroes
What stories untold!
She sweeps through the archways
In search of that room
That circle of faces,
The whisper of doom.

Here stand the heroes.
Oh, how she yearns
To fight in those battles and quests;
Each in turn, a pathway of boldness;
Glories that burn.
The hunter, the sleeper.
The dancer, the wave.
Dust on the faces that time
May not age.

She knows she must waken;
Must wait 'til next night
To dream of her heroes prolonged in their fight,
Their legends of freedom
Their need to do right.
And then in the shadow of King Altador
She'll walk in his hallways of Wisdom
Once more.
