A Broken Hero
By Knoxigami

Sitting in his Kingly Garb,
Now faded and forlorn,
With nothing but the memories
Of how his sorrow first was born...

In time of peace in Meridell,
Lord Kass created war,
Good Kyrii King, he rushed to help,
An oath to fight he swore.

As conflict raged across the lands
Our hero battled on,
Come Spyders or come War Machines,
The Kyrii feared none.

The secret of his gallantry
Was not his love of war;
It was in his wish to travel home,
To be with his Queen once more.

The Maiden was a gentle soul,
Who helped all those in plight;
She cared for all the injured who
Were wounded in the fight.

But when upon them in the night,
Came Kass's evil horde,
Neither Maiden nor the sick
Could even wield a sword.

Though the battle ended long ago,
He sits silent as the Grave,
Staring at the Empty Throne
Of his Queen - so fair, so brave...

Kanrik, King Of Thieves
By Gliderames

Cloak and Dagger; Steely Glare.
The Burden of Bounty he Heaves.
The Thrill of Victory on the Air,
Kanrik, and his Minion Thieves.

Crowns and Jewels and Encrusted Blades.
A King's Treasure, Rightfully Won.
Talk of All their Best Crusades
By Firelight; Tall Tales are Spun.

Glasses Raised, a Toast is Made
To Kanrik and All his Glory.
Dark and Brooding and Unafraid.
His Legend Sure Makes a Great Story.

So When Darkness Falls at Journey's Start
And You're Traveling Throughout the Night,
Hold Your Treasures Close to Heart,
Or Kanrik and his Men Just Might.

Embers and Ashes
By Hoshi__mika

Lilies whisper, wind a-flowing
Lake is stilling, trees are knowing
By the tread the earth is showing
Whence she strode past fair Lamott
As she touches, aspens darken
Calling all the trees to harken
Fire comes to burn and rot

Swiftly does she seem to float
Down to find the blazing boat
And there across the stern is wrote
What thou wants is what is not
Shaking back her blood red sleeves
The lady for her embers grieves
For she has no magic got

Silently across the lake
She begins to feel an ache
No one sees as her heart breaks
Cutting through the lovers knot
Slender fingers slice the water
There - a sparkle, meant for slaughter
Long ago in cool Lamott

On the waves a-rode the ashes,
Crystals shine, her lighting flashes
Down into the sea it crashes;
Fire meant to be forgot
Up into the air she rises
No more must she bear the guises
Of one who let her magic rot

Lifted up on silken wings
Her smile with needed joy does sing
Fire magic with it brings
Happiness she once had lost
Free again, she whispers wildly,
Let no other take her mildly
That will show in cruel Lamott

In the Glade
By Really_awesome_d00d

Quiet reigns in the Glade.
A breeze blows at a hanging leaf,
Motes of dust and light descend.
Illusen gazes outward, and sees no one.
She continues watching.

Peace reigns in the Glade.
Illusen does not distract herself
With spellbooks, enchantments, or games.
She watches, she waits, she anticipates.
She is always watching.

Contentment reigns in the Glade.
Illusen smirks as she thinks of them all
Smiling, cheery, willing to help, ready to aid
She rewards them for their loyalty.
For them she is watching.

Humility reigns in the Glade.
Illusen stares skywards, towards the stars
She thinks of Fyora, in all her glory,
Glittering upon her stellar throne.
For Fyora, she is watching.

Fear reigns in the Glade.
Illusen's mind is muddled with doubt
She sees the violet eyes, the green lips
A wicked face to match a wicked soul.
In sight of Jhudora, she is watching.

Devotion reigns in the Glade.
Though all other pets may slumber at this hour
Illusen stays awake, alert, ever-watchful.
Meridell needs her eternal guidance...
Always, she is watching.

Lonely Ghost Koi
By D3vilishd3bs

A ghost Koi, he has a sad old life
Haunting empty castles
On birthdays and at Christmas time
The postman brings no parcels.

He floats around from room to room,
He howls and clanks his chains.
But everyone ignores the noise,
And blames it on the drains.

And if by chance he should appear
Most people scream in fright.
He just can't understand it -
Is he such a dreadful sight?

He has no friends to play with,
It really is a shame.
He'd like to come around for tea,
Or join you in a game.

But people think that ghosts are bad
And so they stay away.
There's no-one he can natter to,
Or pass the time of day.

So if you ever meet Ghost Koi
Don't run away in fright.
Stay a while and have a chat,
You'll find they're most polite.
