Eventide Lessons
by ayvayshun

My name is Blu, I'm an Eventide Draik
And I'm here not for fame, gold or glory.
So if you'd come close - do listen, sit down
For I'm here now to tell you a story.

I wandered one night to the edge of the sea
Where the sunset lay bright on the water.
And as I looked up, the sun warm on my face
The horizon before me seemed broader.

But night followed after, and with it, the cold
That set in across land, sky and sea
And I lost my ambition for chasing the sun
For its face had lost sight of me.

So I took to the skies in my search for the glow
But the dim light soon faded to black,
And I couldn't see past my own nose in the dark
So I turned on my wing and flew back.

But as I returned to the place where I stood
As I pondered the power of day,
I looked up, my eyes narrowed, to take in the sight
Of the stars that had come out to play.

Though faint, they still twinkled, shone right through the ink
That now covered the world that I knew.
And I smiled as I watched them spread out like the tide
That embraced the swift yellow to blue.

So I took out a page from the tide's briny book
Of the turbulent nature of change
And I learned that while tough, it is not to be feared;
The light sources just might rearrange.

Now on nights that feel bleak with the wind blowing cold,
I go back to my post near the sea
And I turn my face upwards, sky cloudy or clear
To the beacons that shine there for me.

A Booktastic Bookreader
by vinnicbat

Outside the confines of these walls,
A hostile place surrounds.
But with an open book, adventure calls,
And possibilities abound!

Recipe books to make new food,
New flavours to be found!
With everything tasting so good,
Gravity can't keeps me down!

The trouble always seems
With the books I find in town,
Whether Alien Aisha myths or devious evil schemes,
I just can't put it down!

I've made great friends with Bernard,
The owner of the store.
Whenever I'm there, choosing is so hard
Because there's variety galore!

To proves my greatness in reading
Is a badge that's coloured gold,
It's an award you'll be needing
Whether you're young or old.

These books are surely worth it,
No matter how much you pay!
So fly over with your rocket ship
And start reading them today!

Ode to Moltara
by teentitans56

Obsidian quarry
How it gleams amidst the fire
Scraping metal graces the ears, heat
Worms crawl everywhere like lantern wicks
Deep corners are their favorite places to be!
The caves await, friends, are you afraid to go?
Do you see it??? The molten glow under
Not all things.. Underground are dark.
You will see it, Deeper you do embark.
Above they dwell within cogs and lights..
A life of prosperity, one warmly lit
           Tomes uncovered, new things can,
                 Soon be discovered

Paintbrushes, Paintbrushes
by serenadedbyangels

Paintbrushes, Paintbrushes Everywhere!
All these colors, but I don't care
A world full of grey
all I see every day
Paint my world please I beg
I'll even give you a Negg

Paintbrushes, Paintbrushes can it be?
All kinds around, can you hear my plea?
What shall I give you, what shall I get?
Christmas, Grey, or even Petpet?

Paintbrushes, Paintbrushes Come to me now
I need a new coat of paint, but how?
Random events, shops around
I even found on buried underground!

Paintbrushes, Paintbrushes I know you're there
I see you here and there and everywhere!
I'll get one someday I know I will
Then I'll be standing on that Painted Hill.

Sand Snowball?!
by jo_eccentric

This thing is quite odd.
I am very confused.
A little befuddled
And slightly amused.

They call it a snowball
But snow is not there.
But rather there's sand
That's as light as the air.

It keep its round shape.
And it won't fall apart.
I don't even know how,
But I'm sure that it's smart.

I suspect that there's glue.
Perhaps there's some tape?
But I can't see the flaws -
No mistakes in its shape!

This sand snowball's so strange
It has me confused.
But so long as I have them
In the 'dome they'll be used.
