Feathered Friend

A day came last year,
On the fourteenth of November.
We were granted a wish,
That we will always remember.
From our Neopian dreams,
Out came a Vandagyre,
A new feathered friend,
With a face to admire.
The fifty-fifth Neopet,
Peaceful and wise.
A gentle soul,
With beautiful round eyes.
They mean us no harm,
So stop by for some tea.
Meet our feathered friend,
And one day you will agree.

Vandagyre Day: One Year Today

It has been a year,
Today,
That we have met the newest neopet:
The Vandagyre.

Big wide eyes,
A beautiful beak,
Feathers nice and sleek.

The elegance of a tea party,
They understand,
But if a friend needs help,
They take the stand,
A quick flap of their wings,
They are off in a flash,
They will defend their friends,
In a feathery clash.

Flying,
And diving,
Off steep cliffs,
They get their fix,
Of the grand blue sky.

So today we celebrate,
The day of their arrival,
Of a year ago today,
So lets give a cheer to the,
Vabdagyre.

Happy First Year Vandagyre!

It's been one year ago
that Vandagyre first appeared
so let's celebrate that time
and give out a cheer!

You've had a lot to experience
like your first advent calendar
You even got a plushie
that looked like a surfer!

There were also two events in
the past three hundred sixty five days
that you could try for the first time
and get lost in the Altador Cup fever haze.

And the winter event that
turned out quite nice
You experienced the Charity Corner
not once but twice!

There were smaller things as well
like the spring egg hunt
where you could get all the baskets
that you could ever want.

But not all was happy
and not to lower the mood
but only one battledome weapon for you
and just a few types of food

But for just your first year
you've experienced a lot Vandagyre
here's to hoping next time
you'll see what plot's (Hopefully) conspire.

A Vandagyre Picnic

The sun is brightly shining,
There's not a cloud up in the sky.
There's no better time than right now,
For a picnic on the fly!

I'll bring along all the snacks, 
You won't need to bring a thing.
Except for your kind self of course,
The feast is about to begin!

Come and sit down on this blanket,
It's a glorious kind of day.
And look right up into the sky,
The Vandagyres are on their way!

They'll soar into our garden,
And join us for some fun.
These critters love to party,
And this one's only just begun!

If there's one thing that they're good at,
It's the art of making tea.
When a Vandagyre offers you a brew,
Drink it up and you'll soon see!

The clouds are rolling in overhead,
It's time for us to say farewell.
Fold up the blanket, store the rug,
And wave to the Vandagyres as well!

The garden party may be over now,
And our friends have gone away.
Rest assured that we'll have,
A Vandagyre picnic another day!

A Vandagyre Wardrobe Woe

If there's a pet that needs more attire,
It's the trendy Vandagyre!
With so little options there to pick,
Nothing quite does the trick.

Looking for a pair of shoes,
But only given two types to choose.
Leaving the store feeling incomplete,
The Vandagyre trots with bare feet.

Maybe a change in hair will do,
As the Vandagyre looks through and through.
"This Lulu Wig looks really nice!,
I think this surely will suffice."

She quickly plops it on her head,
Wanting to pop in a vibrant red.
It doesn't fit, she grabs another
Identical, but a different color.

"A perfect fit," she says confused,
"Why not in red, but fit in blue?"
She takes it off a bit upset,
Blue's not the color she wanted to get.

Off to dresses the Vandagyre goes,
Rummaging through all the clothes.
"This Isca Dress gleams and glows,
Like the ocean, it calmly flows!"

But once it's on, it starts to tear,
Another thing she cannot wear.
Crying home, she falls apart,
A looming sadness in her heart.

"Why am I here on this site,
When nothing can fit me just right?"
The Vandagyre deserves to smile,
For her to find herself worthwhile.

It's almost time to celebrate,
What makes Vandagyres oh so great.
What can be done to show this best?
I have a plan that staff should test.

I implore you to design,
Some outfits to fit them just fine.
The Vandagyre deserves more clothes,
To save them from these wardrobe woes.

Just a Simple, Selfless Vandagyre

I'm a feathery friend by the name of Vandagyre,
I have those rich, vibrant feathers you admire,
Innocence twinkles in my opalescent eyes,
I'm really fond of creamy, fluffy pies.

But, I'm nowhere near those expensive tinsel towns,
Where the richest Neopets are dressed in gowns,
I'm just happy with being quite simple and plain,
No owner wants a pet with no manners or brains.

Lennies and Pteris are close friends of mine,
A Lenny's tail feather is quite textured and fine,
Most Pteris are very meek, generous and kind,
But not when they're absolutely out of their mind.

I don't own a Kadoatie, Meowclops or a Schnelly,
I'm very happy with my own sweet little Felly,
Besides, I don't want my owner to sell her bones,
Just to buy a fussy Petpet that snarls and groans.

I don't need to get painted in flashy, flickery slop,
My natural feather color makes my appearance pop,
Maybe I'd just get painted Christmas or Eventide,
It'd be cheap and pretty and my true colors would glide!

This 14th day of Storing
marks a very special day.
It's a time to celebrate,
and frolic away.

Exactly one year ago,
Vandagyres became known.
We couldn't hold our excitement,
as we raced to get one of our own.

Their large eyes
instantly drew us in,
and we knew a new phase
of Neopets was about to begin.

Over the last year,
we've had the chance
to get to know our Vandagyres
beyond just first glance.

We learned that Vandagyres
are incredibly wise,
and not only do they walk,
they can take flight in the skies.

Docile in nature,
you'll be likely to find
that your Vandagyre enjoys
exercising his mind.

On this 1st Vandagyre Day,
enjoy yourself and smile.
Be thankful that Vandagyres
will be around for the long while.

Trendy Vandagyre Outfit

I smiled when first I saw these clothes,
An outfit neat and chic.
It has a casual, rustic charm.
It's special and unique.

A Shirt that's made of cotton white
Is soft and nice to touch.
I love the Scarf of scarlet hue.
I love it very much.

The Trousers are like worn blue jeans.
They're wrinkled, shabby, cool.
The Jacket is a stylish coat
That surely freaking rules.

The Shoes are made of dark brown suede
With comfy, upturned toes.
The Wig completes this outfit chic.
It's yellow, and it glows!

This outfit may look casual,
But it's so stylish, too!
Go buy your Vandagyre these clothes,

Happy first, Vandagyres -
to Neopets' youngest
I wish you every item
in Weltrude's Toy Chest
A year has passed since
we had all first met
and your arrival completed
the Species Alphabet.

Some may still consider
you all (Neo) newcomers
but I know several groups
of fans and Vandagyre lovers.

Has it really been a year
since your name first rang?
I remember, for sure,
you all arrived with a bang!

Though fairly cute and bright-eyed
we all know much better
to not judge the sole species
starting with a certain letter.

With the passage of time,
it's easier to have chats 
with more veteran' 'Pets
like Shoyrus and Korbats.
You may even know more
than others do about faeries
and walked every land,
even mountains and prairies!

Happy Vandagyre Day!
We won't get any younger,
so enjoy each passing day,
you're our babies no longer!
