The Trophy Life For Me

As the month begins to wind down,
the majority of gamers begin to look around.

We size up our competition for reset night,
because we all want a gold trophy
and will put up quite the fight.

There's nothing more satisfying than to see
your username on the list of Neopia's elite fifty.

I'll be setting my clock, waking before the sun
to get my scores sent in,
so I can get a few trophies and be done.

To others who ask, "When will they stop?"
there is only one answer --
when we reach the top!

A true Neopian gamer's collection 
is never complete,
because we all know that TNT 
will release new games for us to compete!

Berries!

I'm a berry lover
And I love it berry much,
Those funny little berries
Are very much my crutch.

A Blackberry is fantastic,
A Bludberry's full of goo!
Strawberry and Sniddberry,
And other berries, too!

I like the oddly-named ones
Like Unguberry or skull.
In the world of berry collecting,
A moment's never dull.

Some of them have faces,
Like the Mortogberry, of course.
And some just taste amazing
With a lightly drizzled sauce.

There's those that aren't so tasty --
A Bogie Berry sounds vile,
Or a 100% real Pusberry
Could make you run a mile.

But I'm a fan of all of them,
The good berries and bad.
I really am quite taken
With my collecting berries fad.

So, why not come and join me
Down on Meri Acres Farm?
The farmer is a friend of mine,
So there's no need for alarm.

We'll both pick up a basket
And see what we can find,
We'll hope for some rare berries,
But let's leave the dung behind!

Ode To The Chokato

If you like to feed your ‘pet 
Her veggies and dessert in tandem,
You could select 
A vegetable and a sweet at random,
Or try one that’s a luscious blend 
Of chocolate and tomato;
Of course, I sing the praises of 
The wonderful Chokato.

The Chokato is a versatile and delicious treat,
But its uses aren't limited 
To things that you can eat;
Your ‘pet can chomp for hours 
On a stick of Chokato Chew,
Then achieve a lustrous head of hair 
With Chokato Shampoo.

There’s no limit to 
The uses of Chokato you can try;
You can mash it or grill it or bake it in a pie;
You can make Chokato Jam 
Or a yummy wiggly jelly,
Then enjoy it as a beverage 
In Chokato Bubble Tea.

And that lovely blend 
Of blue and brown enhances a decor;
Your Chokato Chair and table

The Lab Ray

Across the dark, mysterious ocean
you paddle fervently.
You don't know what will happen
when you reach the place you seek.

Your 'pet beside you, still seasick,
gazes nervously at something in the gloom.
You realize she is even more nervous,
as, closer, her destiny seems to loom.

Then suddenly, the mist parts
and you see an island with a metal thing.
The boat gently bumps against the shore
and you decide that you won't be lingering.

"I guess this is it," you say quietly
and your 'pet looks like she's real afraid.
But you stand tall and enter the building,
and you instantly wonder how it was made.

Metal everywhere, metal galore,
everything in this thing is metallic.
You tip-toe quietly into the nearest room,
where it's silent except a clock's tick.

"I see you've arrived." says a sudden voice,
and you literally jump with fear
because the thing that just said the words
is right next to you, right here.

You gulp and nod quickly, as does your 'pet.
The Scorchio scientist you've suddenly seen
ushers you over to a ray and a chair,
a control panel, and a destination for a beam.

The destination is a platform
raised slightly higher above the ground.
Your 'pet goes under, shaking violently,
and you hear a sudden sound.

The scientist has gone to the panel
and is pressing buttons continuously.
You want to run, grab your 'pet and go,
but you know it isn't wise to flee.

A light bursts from the ray, 
a blinding flash of bright.
You can't even really close your eyes
and you're afraid you'll lose your sight.

But you aren't blind when the flashing stops,
and your 'pet steps down from the platform.
Your previously green Aisha is now
a beautiful, stunning Maraquan!

Okay, so now the lab ray seems safe,
possibly even beneficial, so then
the Scorchio, scowling, shoves you out...
you're definitely returning again!
