They went
And Maraqua didn't give
Them a cent,
That wasn't a good thing to do
But no one in Maraqua knew
That a whirlpool would arise,
Leading to Maraqua's demise.

It was a very normal Maraquan day,
All the Kois went out to play.
They felt a mild rumbling, but then a great blast
The pirates had come to destroy at last.

Something was coming that caught their eyes.
The Kois were in for a big surprise!
A tiny vessel came down to the king,
As the Kois swam home screaming.

"They're here, they're here!"
Cried one little fish
For he knew that Maraqua
Would be gone after this.
His mother assured him
That it would turn out alright.
But the small fish knew
He might not make the night.

Maraqua woke up to doom and destruction.
Their eyes opened widely
As they saw the corruption!
Petpets and smashed jars lay on the ground.
Even some food and Utilityfish,
Destroyed, were found.

The surviving fish told
Of a whirlpool that passed
They held on for their lives
'Til it was done at last!
The whirlpool didn't leave much to tend,
Neopia knew this was Maraqua's end.

Or silver or bronze, though it looks old.
You may want to cash it in at once,
But perhaps you should think first,
Don't be a dunce!

Buried treasure it is not
Even though you have a lot.
They're only dubloons,
Not worth too much!
Easy to win in games and such.

Krawk Island still looks quite good,
Just like a pirate's homeland should.
So rent a ship, and go today
To check out Krawk Island,

Where there used to be Maraqua,
There is a large whirlpool.
Many people of this former country,
Consider this "not cool,"

Because of where this whirlpool rests,
The people of Maraqua must go on quests,
To find a place, an open space,
For them to call their own.

This whirlpool was created,
By the pirates, want for gold not sated.
Upon their flag was the cross of bones,
Under this flag, destruction roams.

And now this new Krawk Islan'
Which happens to be really stylin'
Apart from those weird, lizard creatures
It has a couple of features.

And now to finish my tale,
I�ll tell you watch out for a gale,
Because if you get caught out to sea,
You could end up like a Maraquee!
Without your items, your house, your boat,
Watch out the pirates don�t cast you a-float!
