Battle Aboard the Black Pawkeet
Their swords are drawn in bloody wrath,
Their faces dark with rage.
The crew of the Revenge is here.
Their ire must be assuaged.
And all aboard the Pawkeet ship
The crewmates grit their teeth.
They storm their decks to fortify
Their ship against the breach.
The clash of swords rings loud and clear.
Their shouts and yells resound.
The crew of the Revenge is fierce,
The Pawkeet crew unsound.
The wounded lie in bloody piles.
The ones still standing fight.
The battle rages through the day
And onward into night.
Fight on, you Pawkeet pirate crew!
Defend your trespassed ship!
Outnumbered though you seem to be,
Wield blades in iron grips!
To crewmates of the ship Revenge,
Attack the Pawkeet gang!
For Pawkeet pirates robbed and stole
From underneath your hands!
Again, the swords collide and crash!
Again, the shouts cry out.
The fallen ones get up to fight
Without a fear or doubt.
The misty ocean air is thick
With pain and passing life.
Both crews will battle to the end
In locked and constant strife!
They call me the Techo of the Mountain,
They call me the volcano of the Island,
I stand in the middle of the mystery,
Towering over all the jungle land.
They say I was carved out of a peak,
They say I was once simple stone,
All I know is that I've long stood here,
And have always been alone.
One or two come to climb my sides,
One or two come to train below,
Ever striving to grow stronger,
And to learn more, to know.
I stand here and watch the isle,
I stand here, tall and barren,
I rise above Mystery Island,
For I am Techo Mountain.
Plight of the Chocolate Chia
I am a chocolate Chia
And my life is usually great,
But I've noticed something troubling
When I go out as of late.
The Neopets around town all gaze at me
With piercingly hungry eyes,
Because I look like candy.
They contemplate with wistful sighs.
"Ah, I wonder how he'd taste?"
I know that's what they think.
I'm starting to become rather paranoid;
They're pushing me to the brink!
Well, chocolate's a beautiful colour,
But I've had enough. I'm through.
Chocolate's a colour most rare
But no one will be tempted by blue!
One question through the ages rings,
And with you, now I share.
That timeless cry, so anguish filled,
"I've not a thing to wear!"
Neopia now fills with cries,
Akin to that just heard.
It's all about what not to wear,
Since custom looks occurred.
Can a pet just get away,
With stripes that mix with tweed?
Does pink not clash with fire wings?
(A daring look indeed.)
Can the largest Grarrl be seen
In frilly, fluffy skirt?
Can ANYBODY carry off
That Flower Petal Shirt?
It's more than dressing to be seen,
It's based on standing out.
Make the best of what you buy,
It's what fashion's about.
Backgrounds, trinkets, clothes, and more,
One thing stands out, I guess.
Your pet might look a million bucks,
Your closet? Looks a mess.
Valrigard the Draik
Banished to his prison for crimes unknown,
A victim of betrayal, lost to the world.
Looking at the key now in his grasp,
Running for the exit, his chance at last.
In his mind there is no fear,
Gone are the doubts, his foes are near.
A warrior born and a warrior still,
Rising to the challenge with expert skill,
Drifting through the dark, making the kill.
The doors pass by and the gloom is lifting,
His freedom beckons but his mind's not drifting.
Every muscle burns but onward he soars,
Dreaming of freedom through the final door.
Rounding a corner he enters a room,
A final few strides, his freedom looms.
In streams the light that for years he has yearned,
Knight of the realm, his freedom well-earned.
