Eventide Draik
by Hannahcreep

The eventide Draik,
So majestic and free!
The eventide Draik
Is the Neopet for me!

The eventide Draik,
Made for the Shenkuu New Year.
The eventide Draik,
I bet it’s sincere.

The eventide Draik,
An expensive combination that is.
The eventide Draik,
To pay for it you have
To have a job in show biz.

The eventide Draik,
A very new combination I want!
The eventide Draik,
To get it, I will sell croissants.

The eventide Draik,
It may not be my dream 'pet.
The eventide Draik,
It could be part of my character set.

The eventide Draik,
Won’t be the only
Eventide dragon, I bet you!
The eventide Draik,
I Just hope they make
An eventide Shoyru.

Autumn Trumpet
by Captain_crunch45

I raise my lovely horn,
And let it blare away.
Although I can now wear it,
I don’t know how to play.

Oh, my Autumn Trumpet,
How I’ve waited for so long.
But now that I may carry you,
No one cares for my song.

I guess I might as well
Give it one more blow.
Until the next wearable
Comes and goes.

Ode To An Unloved Apostrophe
by Sophieninetyfive

My dear unloved apostrophe,
I think it's quite unfair
That in every item description,
You're simply not there!
I wonder how it started,
This tradition that omits
You from your rightful place in words
Like -don't- and -you're- and -it's-.

I guess it's some programming
Glitch or issue that's at fault,
But even so, it seems quite sad
That this is the result.
Your punctuation cousins
(Full stop, dash, and colon, too)
Don't seem to suffer much at all --
So why is it you do?

Perhaps it's something personal.
Is TNT to blame?
Or is it just a joke of theirs?
Are they playing a game?
Are they just trying to stress out
The grammar nerds like me?
It simply isn't fair on you,
My dear apostrophe.

But whatever the reason is,
I simply want to say
That though you're not around too much,
I think of you each day.
Don't feel like you're unwanted.
Look: my point is clearly shown
Because I've used you fourteen times
In this poem alone!

Codestones
by Chavo_guerrero

Mau and Har and Bri and Main,
Eo, Orn, and Lu,
Tai-Kai, Vo, and Zei as well,
And that's just the starter few!

After then we move on higher,
Until the stone shines red,
Here we find the Cui and Kew,
Mag, Sho, Vux, and Zed!

I hope that you have realised,
What I mean by these sixteen,
And if you haven't managed,
Then where exactly have you been?!?

I'm talking codestones now, of course,
And how they help us all get by,
Even if you're not a battler,
I bet you don't let them pass by!

They're useful when you first start out,
To put them in your shop,
And earn some needed Neopoints,
If, perhaps, not quite a lot.

And as you start to think some more,
Of battles, wars, and games,
Perhaps you'll use them in your training,
As you try to reach your aims.

So when you travel to Mystery Island,
Keep your eyes glued to the floor,
For everyone in Neopia,
Could use one codestone more!

Kadoatery Woes
by Mariadynamite

My name is “Wail the Kadoatie,”
And with good reason so.
My owner dumped me at the Kadoatery,
Because he had to go.

Like your typical Kad,
I immediately had a craving.
If it’s fulfilled, I’d be glad,
If not, I’d be sobbing.

I desired a Snow Bagel,
A bad choice, some may say.
For a bagel’s price is surreal,
A sum not many would pay.

Well, as luck would have it,
I was the only Kad left unfed.
The rest had something to eat,
While I was feeling sad.

Thirty-five minutes came and left,
And it certainly felt like a year.
Owners came to pick up their Kads,
While new Kads appeared.

Thus began another cycle,
Of waiting, hoping, and sighing.
Because nobody had a Snow Bagel,
Which meant I wouldn’t be eating.

As Kads all around ate happily,
Cabbage, corn, and cherry blossom,
I felt but a tinge of jealousy,
For my turn had yet to come.

Hours passed, and days turned to nights,
But still, nobody came to feed me.
(Come on, seriously, not even a bite?)
No one heard my plea.

Till finally, one kind Neopian speaks,
“I want the '*Mew*' avatar!” he cries,
“I don’t care what it takes!”
And so he paid the price.

After which, my owner finally arrives,
Saying he was caught in the rain.
And, never, ever in my entire life,
Will I ask for a Snow Bagel again.
