UNKNOWN - For those of you who read the last
article, you saw many many unseen pages of Neopia. Due to an overwhelming
amount of Neomails, along with many links included, I decided to make another
article.
To start off with, you can look at the old Neopian Times Issues. I don't
mean Neopian Times Issue 3, I mean the OLD issues. The articles and stories
are not even comparable to the ones around now. It turns out that there are
about 120 issues, not just around 50.
My last article also showed Neopians the pets that never made it. It turns
out that that was a contest for a new Neopet, and the Shoyru won :). These pets
were already around, but it was a mean April Fool's joke that The Neopets Staff
played on us >:-[ These pets are even worse
than the others.
Of course, there were many contests that Neopets ran (and still runs a good
amount). There were contests for the new look of the Tatsu (take a guess at its
name today), Gelert, Mynci, and Jetsam.
For those of you who remember the 'Crown Search', the Talking Parrot was part
of that. The solution is here.
There were other searches and contests. One of which was used to create the
Space Station! Ask
Sloth was used to create some aspects of the Space Station(along with
some rather amusing replies from Sloth himself!), and Decode the Runes
was the beginning of the Space Station plot. See, that crazy old guy on Mystery
Island had something to do with codestones :)
Well, many of us remember games such as Treasure Hunt, which was taken away,
along with some other games we may not have realised left; Grundo's Gym
and Chia Bingo, both
of which still give out NP.
It would be very hard to leave this lost page out of The Neopian Times. The Tyrannian Volcano,
where Magnus the Torch can be found. He is an actual Battledome Challenger,
and you can still fight him. Chomshuri and I went to interview him, and came
out a little burned, but got the interview (this is from memory; my notepad
burned up in the extreme temperatures).

Magnus the Torch (MTT): Who goes there?
Marlfox: We're Tyrannian residents!
MTT: Then in that case, you may enter. I only talk to Tyrannian people.
Marlfox: Would you mind doing a small interview for The Neopian Times?
MTT: Why would people want to hear me out? All I do is breathe fire
and burn things.
Marlfox: Well, you do live in a volcano...
MTT: Yes, I've lived here my whole life. I remember back when Kacheekers
tournaments were held here, and when this place was safe for all Neopians to
enter. Now the only people who come here have to get through me.
Marlfox: Unless they're from Tyrannia?
MTT: Yes.
Marlfox: Why are you so biased against other Neopians?
MTT: I'm not biased! I'm protecting them! This volcano is still active,
if not more! The Monoceraptor used to hide within the magma. His disappearance
has let the lava flow freely, so now it is more dangerous to come up here!
Marlfox: So, really, you're protecting them?!
MTT: Yes, of course. Those who resist must defeat me in a battle.
Marlfox: Well, thanks for your time. I guess you should go back to
protecting Neopia.
MTT: Yes, please go. It looks like some more 'adventurers' are on the
way to here.
Well, as you can see, Magnus the Torch is protecting the Neopians from the
volcano. The area also used to hold games such as Kacheekers.
Chomshuri and I then went to the Haunted Woods, where we found the remains
of an old shop. The Apothecary
was the mushroom shop of Neopia. Unfortunately, it went out of business.
While searching through the rubble of Maraqua, Kabllii, my Kiko, and I found
another site; and this one is still active. It's also a place where Magnus the
Torch would never battle. The Maraqua Battledome. This Battledome
is still active! So it appears that if the Battledome survived the Whirlpool,
could people inside have survived? Are there really survivors from Maraqua?
