Baby Buzz Faces Dangers by _snow_child_ | |
THE RAINBOW POOL - It's true, a baby pet is on every neopians wish list. But
is there a threat to the baby buzz? Well every one knows that birds naturally
prey on worms, and there's no denying it, baby buzzes look like worms. And with
a pteri on the loose, a baby buzz's life could be in danger. We all know what
neopets have lived in harmony with each other, with the exception of the Lupe
and the Chia, but could a Pteri really resist the temptation of a juicy, succulent
Buzz Grub?
Well, I think the answer is no. Even though they could be kept at bay with
a nice Gaa Gaa Grub, could a Sour Grub really replace the natural urge to catch,
kill, and eat a defenseless Grub-like baby Buzz? Well, I talked to a number
of Buzzs and Pteris to get their thoughts on the whole ordeal.
Tom the Pteri said, "Even though we have our natural instincts like any other
pet, we still have our self- control!"
While Rhea the Buzz said, "Personally, I think painting a buzz baby with a
Pteri in the household is a preposterous idea! Who would do such a thing?! Putting
a baby in danger like that!"
And when we spoke to a friendly couple, things really got ugly. Joe, a buzz,
and Becca, a Pteri, have been friends for three months now, and when I asked
them their opinions on the matter, this is what they said:
"Well, maybe in some relationships there is no trust, but in a relationship
like ours, well to say the least, I'd let a baby Buzz wriggle through here any
time and I wouldn't think twice about his or her safety, because I know Becca
would never eat a baby pet!" said Joe.
Then we asked Becca. She replied, "Who would paint a buzz baby anyway? They're
ugly as it is… but not you dear, erm, you're quite handsome. Besides, it's what's
on the inside that counts, right?"
Let's close the curtain on that ugly little scene.
We then got the scoop from a species who is in the same position as a baby
Buzz, we asked a Chia his opinion.
"What we should ask ourselves is not Would the Buzz be too tempting, but Would
the Pteri even think twice about eating another pet in the first place? The
whole problem between Lupes and Chias is not the fact that Chias are tempting,
we are not. It's those no-good, scandalous, dirty rotten Lupes! They thought
we looked appetizing so one day a Lupe ate one of our kind and poof! Instant
snack! Now they've made lupe treats shaped like us! It's an outrage!"
After I reminded Mr. Chen about the whole reason I asked his opinion, I resumed
quoting him: "It really depends on the Pteri. Even I've met one or two Lupes
who haven't looked at me and licked their chops. It depends, like I said, on
the Pteri. While some Pteris would jump at the chance for some fresh Grub-like
baby Buzz, others would not eat one if it were the only thing in Neopia to eat."
So with the information I collected, I ask neopia one question: "Would you
trust a Pteri with a Grub-like pet?" |
