SOMEWHERE IN SPACE - There's one Faerie that is almost impossible to track, let
alone talk too. If you did stumble upon her she could easily fade into the stars.
That's right, the Space Faerie, an elegant mysterious Faerie who hasn't been seen
in a very, very, very long time! You may be asking, how in all of Neopia am I
going to get an interview with the mysterious Space Faerie? The answer: A lot
of hard work, help and determination
My crew and I consisted of two tracking Lupes, a Shoyru, a Gelert and a couple
of my guild members. We started at the Virtupets space center but all we got
was unidentified buzzes and beeps and absolutely no leads to the Faerie! I sent
two guild members to Faerieland to see the Queen Faerie, hoping she would know
of where the Space Faerie was. The rest of my crew and I went up into space
to search the vast galaxies. It took two days for my guild friends to get back,
but they had very little news. The Queen Faerie only knew that the Space Faerie
lived on a small planet of little distance from the moon. I told the Shoyru
to run ahead, and sure enough she reported back stating that she had seen and
found a planet that the Space Faerie could possibly live on. The planet was
full of exotic plants that seemed to have minds of their own. Rising from the
middle of the tiny planet was a large palace; I suspected the Space Faerie lived
there so we headed in its direction.
Entering the castle I was ushered into a room by a small pinkish creature,
in the middle was a large desk, sitting at it was the Space Faerie herself.
Looking around I noticed the beautiful furniture she had, it was almost like
the Kauvara furniture in Neopia but at closer inspection it showed that the
stars were real! The Space Faerie gave a dazzling smile that seemed to light
up the room "What are you here for?" she asked politely with her milky smooth
voice.
Gulping I spoke, "Can I please interview you for the Neopian times?" Compared
to hers, my voice sound scratchy and rough.
She looked at me for a moment and pointed a hand toward a chair in front of
a desk. "Ask away," she smiled and we began the interview.
Me: Why do you stay so far away from Neopia?
Space Faerie: I like space, hence my name, in Neopia it is always busy, you
can never escape in space it's endless, people can't find you if you try hard
enough. I like my privacy although I do admit I miss Faerie life and my friends.
Me: The Snow Faerie, Taelia, recently gave out her name to the public, will
you be doing that?
Space Faerie: Did she? How wonderful! I think I might have to start showing
up around Neopia more to give out my name, but you never know, that's for me
to decide and at the moment my brain is just a little fuzzy!
Me: Do you have any friends?
Space Faerie: I have Faerie friends but we have lost touch since I moved out
in space so long ago. I get along fine with many of the different alien Neopets
like me. So I suppose I have friends, but not Neopians.
Me: When was the last time you were in Neopia?
Space Faerie: A long time ago, I can't even remember. Iit seems like not to
long ago but so far away, maybe I'm losing my memory!
Me: Do you have plans on coming back?
Space Faerie: Yes, I think I will someday, hopefully soon... but I don't know.
Me: Do you have any enemies?
Space Faerie: No, as I said, I don't know any Faerie to have enemies!
Me: Don't you ever get lonely?
Space Faerie: Yes, I must admit, the neoaliens are nice and all, but I'm the
only Faerie here and none of the other Faeries really understand why I'm like
this. It does depress me sometimes, and I wish I could just be a normal Faerie
again, but I love space too much to give it up!
Me: Why do you live here?
Space Faerie: I love space! Duh! Oh, I suppose you mean like only live here,
well it's quiet and well space. I don't really know, I've always loved space
and this planet is so perfect. I love it here! No one gets in fights, the food
is exceptional, it's warm never cold and people act like I'm one of them, not
a Faerie, just a friend. That's special to me. People always thought I was weird
growing up because my legs are well... invisible. Then I came here and people
thought I was weirder for not coming back. It hurts you know?
The Space Faerie turned and looked at the clock. "I'm afraid I have to go.
I hope you have a safe trip home," she gave a dazzling smile again and waved.
"Goodbye Space Faerie I hope I see you in Neopia soon!" I called as I walked
out the palace. Getting back to Neopia took us little time and I was very happy!
The Space Faerie was one of the best Faeries I'd ever met…
