"Hey Scritch! What are you up to?"
"Hewo, Aweorna! I'm tellin' owa fwiends the sthtory of how I wotht my wittew toof."
"How about I help you a bit, you know, maybe tell it for you? I don't think everyone can bear to listen to the whole story with you talking like that! And, people who read it later might have a hard time of it. Hey, don't get sad. You can help me if I miss something, okay? You know, this story might make you famous! I’ve never heard of a Petpet losing a tooth, and you might as well be the first to tell about it!"
"Okay, Aweorna. If you inthitht."
"It started two weeks ago. Scritch and I were out watching a few Poogle Races, and I must say, we were getting richer as they went on. Anyway, One of the poogles-"
"Poogle numbew twee!"
"Yes, it was Poogle number three that lost his balance, tumbled off the track, and tumbled into Scritch. But, because Scritch is a bit small, as most Flightning Bugs are, the poogle didn't notice and simply went on with the race. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice it then either, and didn't until we arrived back home at the Neopian Central. I looked over at Scritch to ask him if he wanted to split a smoothie with me, and noticed his usually curious little face pinched up in pain."
"Mutht you emphathithe on my thmallneth?"
"Sorry, buddy. It's just, well it’s part of the story. To make Scritch feel better, I have to ask you guys: did you know that even though he may be small, he is one tough cookie! He is the most enduring Flightning Bug I have ever met! So hhen I saw him, I asked him what was going on. He said-"
"I don't know! My mouf huwts!"
"Yeah, that. Thank you, buddy. Anyway, Scritch kept going on and on about it, so we took a trip to the Healing Springs. It didn't do much for him, though. The poor guy. He was in a lot of pain. To the annoyment of his loving owner-who would never harm his little friend-Scrith refused to eat anything other than soup, ice-cream, and pudding which were his favorite foods. He said it would make him get better soon if he was happy.
“An’ it wowked!”
“Sure, it did, buddy. Sure it did. Two weeks later, he woke up for breakfast to find that a tiny-and I mean TINY-little, bitty tooth had fallen out. And he said his mouth was feeling much better. 'It must be wowking! Give me thome more ithe-cweam!' Nope, sorry buddy. Tooth's out, you eat what I do tonight."
"Dat did not go well wif me! Ah! Whats a wittew Fwightning Bug to do? Of couwse, I did get my ithe-cweame fow dethert!”
