Petpet Name: Cheria
Owner: conveyance
Pet Name: Relin
Breed: White Weewoo

About Cheria:
What do you think of when you see a White Weewoo? The Neopian Times avatars, or pirates, perhaps? When Relin met Cheria, she did not think of either of those things. She thought of Cheria as a lifelong companion and friend. It's actually a pretty interesting story... how they met, I mean.

It was a normal spring day in Neopia. Relin and I were out and about, enjoying the fine weather. We planned to have a picnic near the park that morning, but little did we know there would be an unexpected guest joining us! We found a good spot and settled down. I brought out the bread, peanut butter, and jam so we could make sandwiches. I was just about finished making mine when I looked away for a moment, because Relin had pointed to something and that had distracted me. I turned back and my sandwich was gone! Relin's was, too. We looked at each other, confused. "Odd," I said. Lin nodded and then shrugged, and then began to make another sandwich.

I did as well, but I was almost certain that the sandwich thief would be back again. This time, I put extra peanut butter and jelly on mine. I told Relin to look away with me, but only for a second. We turned and then immediately turned back, and right before our eyes was a little Weewoo, who was about to take Relin's sandwich. It looked scared and hungry, so I told Relin not to frighten it. It did seem to have a liking for Relin, though. Relin held out her hand and the Weewoo came right up to her. I think it was because she still had peanut butter on her hands, but who am I to judge?

The Weewoo stuck around for most of our picnic and ate the majority of what we'd brought with us. I smiled, and suggested Relin should bring the Petpet home with us. Relin lit up, since she had not previously owned a Petpet. I'm guessing Relin was a bit too excited, because once she tried to pick up the Weewoo it squealed and ran off! We searched everywhere for it, and even left out some extra sandwiches in case it came back. I told Relin not to worry, and that we would come back tomorrow. She smiled and nodded. We packed up our things and headed home.

The next morning we walked to the same spot where the mischievous Weewoo had last been seen and sat down. We only brought the things needed to make a sandwich, since that's what it seemed the Weewoo liked. We made our sandwiches but didn't eat them, in case the Weewoo really did come again. Relin and I talked most of the day, but unfortunately there was no signs of the little Petpet at all. The sun was beginning to set, and I could see that Relin was a little sad. As we were about to leave, we heard a rustling noise coming from the bushes. Relin's face lit up right when she saw a little White Weewoo appear!

Of course, the Weewoo headed directly toward the sandwich we had left. Relin told me to stay where I was, in case the Weewoo got scared again. I nodded and let her walk over to the Petpet. Relin waited until the Weewoo was finished with the sandwich and slowly walked closer. This time, the Weewoo didn't get scared. Instead, it walked right on up to Relin, and that's when I knew they would be friends for life. When Relin returned to me, the Petpet rested on top of Relin's head. I giggled and asked what Relin was going to call her new friend. "Cheria!" Relin replied. I nodded in approval. We headed back home, the three of us. Cheria has not left Relin's side since that day in the park. They still remain friends to this day!
