Petpet Name: Adalira
Owner: miley_luva759
Pet Name: Yarison
Breed: Noilkeet

About Adalira:
It was the perfect day for a picnic. Not just because the sun was shining, but it was early spring and the air was the just right for being outside. It was a beautiful day, and leaves nimbly danced down from the dog wood branches that were decorated in early bloomed lotus blossoms. Sonneiles, Lynn, and Yarison were setting up for their picnic. They thought they'd do something fun, since they were done with their chores and it was such a beautiful day. Pteris chirped in the trees, and no one could resist being out doors.

"There's a Noilkeet in the picnic basket!" Yarison cried, and he opened the straw basket to find a little Noilkeet poking her head out. "Shoo!" He called. Yarison wanted those sandwiches. Instead of leaving, the little Noilkeet jumped on top of Yarison's head. It tickled.

Yarison and his siblings gathered around the picnic basket to get out the food. But there was none. "The little devil!" Whispered Yarison. "That pesky little Noilkeet ate all the food! I knew it."

Yarison touched to top of his head with his hoof. He felt the soft feathers of the Noilkeet. The Noilkeet giggled and began to scamper all around the field.

"I've got you now!" Yarison said, as he pounced on the Noilkeet, ripping out two of her sunny orange feathers. They lay there sadly on the ground. Yarison stared at the feathers.

"Oh dear." He said, solemnly. "I'm so sorry." The Noilkeet's happy, lit up face turned dismal. She frowned, and tried to touch her back where her feathers had come out with her little claw.

Feathers are precious to all Noilkeets. They adore their feathers, and this Noilkeet wasn't happy at all to have her feathers pulled out.

"I think I can fix it." Said Yarison. "Let's go."

-----

"Mommy!" Said Yarison. "I found this Noilkeet at the park. She ate all our sandwiches and cookies. And...and..." The Noilkeet eyed Yarison, as if she was saying "What about my feathers?"

Yarison sat silently on the floor. "And I accidentally pulled out two of her feathers. I'm really sorry, Mommy." Mom's face was expressionless. "I'll try to fix it." Said Yarison. "I've got an idea."

Yarison tried to tape on the Noilkeet's feathers, but the Noilkeet frowned and shook her head when she saw the tape. He tried glue, nails and a hammer, and every imaginable thing. Nothing worked.

"Well, if you're going to be so stubborn..." Said Yarison. Then he ran off to his room and sulked. The Noilkeet heard Yarison crying, and she tiptoed in to his room. "I'm so sorry." he said. The Noilkeet seemed to understand, and forgave him by playing a little song on a tiny harp.

"Thank you." Said Yarison, with tears dripping down his face. "I'll name you Adalira, it means petpet of the harp. And you'll be my companion." He whispered. "Forever." Adalira climbed on top of Yarison's head and fell asleep.
