The Weapons
Freezing your opponent--cheap victory or great strategy? Well, obviously
it is a great strategy! But ONLY if you use it the right way.
Frost Cannons - Frost cannons are meant for pets that are a little weaker
(100 or less HP). Frost cannons are not a for sure freeze. Frost cannons include
(from worst to best) Blue, Yellow, Green, Red, Rainbow, and Black. All of the
weapons do physical, water, and fire icons, except Rainbow, which doesn't do
any physical attack.
One Time Use Freeze Weapons - There are quite a few weapons that can
be used only once (or may be used in more than one battle but may disappear).
One is the slave collar. It just freezes them. Then there's the memory blaster,
which does fire icons and freezes the opponent. There is also the Ice mote.
The Ice mote freezes the opponents and has a water attack. Next is the Lupe
Wand. The Lupe wand can be used once per battle, but has a chance of disappearing
permanently. There is also the Terror Stone. This stone freezes your opponent,
and uses and Air attack on them. And finally, there is the Amulet of Chaos.
This item will heal you while freezing your opponent. A great item to have when
your in heat.
Now, there are two weapons that you can use every battle. One is the Snowglobe
Staff. This staff will create snowballs for you, and of course, may freeze your
opponent. However, there is a risk of this item breaking for the rest of the
battle, so be careful!
And finally, probably the most popular freeze weapon, the Hypno Helmet. The
Hypno Helmet does not come cheap anymore (75k and up). But the Hypno Helmet
will never let you down. It will always freeze your enemy (unless they use a
certain item which is going to be explained later) and give you a round to do
what is needed.
BEWARE! If you are battling a Quiggle, an item used by Quiggles called the
Quiggle Sword of Terror can defend against a freeze attack! So be careful!
Strategy for the Battledome
Now that you know your freezing weapons, lets talk strategy!
Freezing an opponent is mainly used for only a few reasons, which you should
use:
1) Freeze your opponent in the first round, and use your two strongest weapons
with a fierce attack to get some early damage in, forcing them to heal early.
2) When your opponent nears the time to heal themselves, freeze them before
they get the chance, and finish them off!
3) Did your opponent turn out to be a bit stronger than you expected? No worry!
Just freeze them, and take the chance to heal yourself in your free turn!
4) Need to use your Tiki Bag, Battledeck, or other item that makes one-time
use items, but don't want to take any damage? No worry! Freeze them and take
the opportunity to get the items ready for the next round.
I hope Fighters of all skill levels find this information useful. Get a good
freeze item, and good luck in the Battledome! |
