I STEPPED INSIDE to be engulfed with purple and green mist. My hooves clicked
against a cobblestone floor as I took two more steps. Slowly the mist cleared
and there in front of me and there was Jhudora sitting on her throne of twisted
vines with dead purple flowers dotting it. I shuddered and took a step back,
but the mist seemed to form a wall.
"I've been waiting...." Jhudora crooned.
"You knew I was coming????" I questioned, becoming
more frightened by the minute.
"Why, this little man here helped us. You might
remember him..." Jhudora motioned the Dark Faerie to pull something out of the
mist behind them. The Dark Faerie pushed forward a young boy around Clobo's
age. He looked fairly familiar. He would be handsome except for his hair was
untidy and his blue eyes were full of worry.
"Adam," I whispered," Adam," I spoke a little
louder. The boy nodded, "ADAM!!!" I cried. I turned to the faerie, "What did
you do to him???" I shouted at them.
"No reason to get all huffy, Bronzeya, after
all I thought you hated him. He was the only reason you and Clobo didn't have
a happy life together. You hate him don't you Bronzeya," Jhudora spoke softly,
pulling me into a trance. I shook my head shaking out the purple and green mist
that tried to trap my thoughts.
"I don't hate him! Even if I did hate him no
one deserves to be tied up like he has!!!!" I shouted. I stood up to the faerie.
I could not believe my courage, but this was personal. This was Adam, Clobo's
true love. And Clobo was my owner. That was the first time I had thought that
to myself. It echoed again my mind. And Clobo was my owner. It was true and
then I remembered how I rejected her. She was my caring owner who fed me and
I treated her like that. She was my owner and I was her pet. I was supposed
to be her faithful pet, through thick and thin. But no....I had only been her
angry selfish pet. But that was going to change, and it did.
"LET HIM GO!!!!" I snorted lowering my head
and scuffing the stones. I snorted and a puff of smoke released from my nostrils.
The faerie laughed, she laughed whole-heartedly - at me. That blew it. No one
laughed at Bronzeya. Not anymore. I went charging head on threw the throne across
the room, Jhudora toppling over with it. The faerie lay over in a heap trying
to untangle herself. I ran up to Adam and I ripped the ropes that binded him
with my horns. I pulled the handkerchief out of his mouth.
"Run," I commanded. He nodded a nod and gave
me a look as if to say Thank you. Then ran into the mist and disappeared. I
turned to face Jhudora who was slowly uncrumpling. I looked around the room
and saw a door, my only escape. Jhudora slowly staggered up and pointed at me.
I ran to the door and tried to unlock it. Locked. Forget the lock. I thought.
I backed up and charged through the door, broken pieces of wood splintering
out behind me, suddenly my hoofs skidded to a halt. The sound of my hooves skidding
on the steel echoed off the steel walls. There were no windows or doors, just
all steel. I looked around in the dimly lighted room and a shadow appeared before
me.
Even though I could only see the outline of
the shadow. I knew who it was.
"We shall fight at last," the figure cackled
and then I heard her long fingernails snap together and blinding light flashed
on brightening the stadium. Jhudora stood across from me.
"It was only you, wasn't it? The Dark Faerie
had nothing to do with it...." I slowly began to realize as I growled at Jhudora.
"Oh, that old hag had nothing to do with it!
In fact she's the reason I stole the wand!" Jhudora began to sound more and
more angry, "That old witch is so famous for performing evil!!! And I know much
more dark magic than she! I must become known! I am tired of making potions
for her and just sitting here in my throne each day!!!!" Jhudora cried, "I must
conquer her so I will rule over Neopia, with this wand. And Dr. Sloth and I
will join together and send our troops to kill off all those who challenge us.
Including the Native Neopians!!!" Then Jhudora began to shake with laughter,
the ground began to rumble.
"You're crazy!" I shouted at her. Suddenly all
the rumbling stopped and she stared at me with her cold eyes. She gave a high-pitched
warrior cry and came running towards me. I dodged to the right and she pointed
her finger at me and some invisible force struck me. I was flung across the
room and my head hit the wall. Immense pain shot through my body, I groaned.
"I AM NOT CRAZY!" She boomed and I slowly stood
up uneasy. She charged toward me, I charged towards her and I knelt my horns
down and picked her up and sent her flying through the air and crashed into
a steel wall. She crumpled to the ground in a heap. I heard her moaning and
then I charged again and rammed her into the wall and then kicked her with my
hoof.
"Take that!" I snorted. I turned to go, but
there was nowhere to go. All steel. Then I felt a pain run through my back,
I collapsed.
"You don't think you could have killed me with
only that?" Jhudora cackled and the invisble force hit me again. I moaned. I
ached all over and the energy began to drain out of me. Everything...seemed...
to... be... drifting... away... getting... smaller... and... smaller. I closed
my eyes.
The Chosen One
"Your the chosen one, Dierdre Aleta, your the chosen one because you haven't
the strongest heart out of all the Neopets in Neopia. You had a kind enough
heart to let me into your home, you shared your food with me, you took care
of me. You are the chosen one," Gemini whispered. I turned around in the darkness
trying to find Gemini, but she was nowhere.
"You can't see me, Dierdre Aleta , I'm trapped
in your mind, but you can set me free by getting the wand...defeat Jhudora and
win the wand," Gemini chanted in my mind, "You are the chosen one."
My eyelids fluttered open. I saw Jhudora above
me. She had a wicked grin on her face. I slowly got to my feet.
"Do you actually think your going to kill me
and get the wand?" She laughed, "I'm offended that a weakling like you thinks
so highly of itself!" I looked at her, still in pain.
"You wanna fight?" I asked.
"No! No!" Echoed Gemini in my head, "She wants
you to fight! Instead fight back with evil's worst enemy!" Evil's worst enemy
I thought Like the book said!
"LOVE!" I shouted as it hit me like a banana
cream pie, spreading throughout my body. Suddenly Jhudora froze, her eyes wide
and her mouth in a horrible twisted frown.
"What?" Jhudora whimpered.
"LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!" I screamed, "PEACE! LOVE!
HONESTY!" I shouted.
"NOOOO!" Jhudora crumpled in the far corner.
"LOVE! PEACE! HONESTY! FLOWERS! LIFE! FAITH!"
I repeated. She screamed and withered into what would take a flower a few days
in only a few seconds. In front of me which was once Jhudora lay crumpled ash.
Suddenly a bursting light appeared in the middle of the room. The wand stood
floating in the air surrounded by bright light. I walked p to it and curled
my hoof around it. Suddenly the whole place began to shake, pieces of steels
fell from the cieling. I pointed the wand to one of the steel walls. It magically
disappeared and I ran through the hole, I was back in the front room, the cieling
caving in behind me. I jumped into the mist and swung open the door. The sunlight
burst onto my fur.
Good-bye
But this wasn't Faerieland. I looked around; we were in the middle of a forest.
I recognized it, the same forest I had found Gemini in. Gemini appeared in front
of me.
"You did well, Dierdre Aleta." Gemini proudly
complimented, "You truly are the chosen one after all,"
"I couldn't have done it without you," I said,
"I guess you must take the wand back to Giputore now." I bit my lip as a tear
trickled down my cheek.
"I'm going to miss you too, Dierdre Aleta."
Gemini smiled back as I handed the wand to Gemini. I nodded.
"Why do you call me Deir--" I started.
"We shall meet again, Bronzeya, when I cannot
tell you." Gemini chanted as he slowly became slightly shimmery like a lake
when it's raining,"I am sure of it." And then he disappeared.
"I'll remember you always, you'll always live
on in my heart," I whispered, but I was sure Gemini could hear it. I stood rooted
in my spot for a few seconds. I knew where I was headed next. I galloped through
the woods and made my way to the sidewalk. I trotted up the sidewalk perfecting
my words. When I finally reached my destination I rang the doorbell.
Clobo opened the door tearstains across her
face and her eyes puffy and her nose stuffy and her hair was a mess. Clenched
in her hands was my yellow Kau Plushie. Behind her I could see policemen at
the kitchen table.
"I'm sorry, Mum," I apologized. That sounded
perfect at the moment, and so did the feeling of her comforting arms wrapped
around me.
The End
Author's Note: Gorgina, Bahinda, and Vizandro are randomly made up names.
I mean no offense to anyone named Hanna either. Bronzeya is my actual pet. |
