It was just an average day in Neopia, when Kate and her pets LGM_Green the
Aisha, LGM_Yellow the Bruce, LGW_Blue the Tuskaninny and LGW_Red the Zafara
were shopping in The Neopian Bazaar.
"Mum can I go to the Chocolate Factory?" asked LGM_Yellow.
Kate thought about and replied, "Yeah sure, does anyone else want to go with
him?"
"No I want to go to the Toy Shop!" answered LGM_Green and LGW_Blue at the
same time.
"Well okay you two, but meet your little brother in front of Pizzaroo in thirty
minutes. Here's 200 NP each. What about you LGW_Red?" Kate said while handing
over the Neopoints.
"I want to stay with you. Please?" LGW_Red replied.
"Okay. I'll meet the rest of you in an hour back at our NeoHome. See you later!"
So Kate and LGW_Red bought a couple more things for the shop, restocked the
shop and then headed off to play some games. After playing Kacheek Seek and
Pyramids for half an hour, they headed off to check the News. There were a couple
things but what caught their eye was the new game, Carnival of Terror.
This is what it said:
• NEW GAME - Yes my friend... welcome to Dr.
Sloth's Carnival of Terror... but remember to stay awake... because
if you fall asleep THE CLOWNS WILL GET YOU!!!! MUHAHAHA
The game is in alpha test mode, meaning we will be changing it and fixing
bugs over the next few days.
HA HA HA
LGW_Red wanted to play the game right away; Kate was a little worried but
to keep her pet happy she decided to give it a try, she ran to catch up with
LGW_Red. LGW_Red seemed to be drawn to the game, like something was pulling
her towards it.
When they got there they could hear the carnival music. It was dark in this
part of the Haunted Woods; they could see red glowing eyes in the darkness.
Maybe this wasn't such a good idea, Kate thought to herself. She thought for
sure it wasn't a good idea once she saw the Keep Out and Danger signs. But LGW_Red
was still as excited as she was when she saw the News.
"LGW_Red, I don't think this is such a good game to play. Maybe we should
just head back to the NeoHome, it's almost been an hour anyway," said Kate,
finally speaking up.
"Please Mum, can't I play just once?" replied LGW_Red not taking her eyes
off the entrance sign.
"Well... okay just once but then we're going home."
So LGW_Red stepped up, grabbed her weapon and started shooting the Chia Clown's,
the pies, collecting ammo, health and time. It was almost time to head back
to the NeoHome, and LGW_Red was still playing her first game. Kate didn't want
her pets to get home and her not be there, so she told LGW_Red that the second
she finished her game to come home right away. LGW_Red just nodded not talking,
as she was too focused on the game. So Kate headed home, back to their NeoHome
in Neopia Central.
Clown after clown, pie after pie not once making a mistake. Until she heard
some footsteps behind her, and a hand grabbed her shoulder. LGW_Red let out
a scream, but no one heard her. Can you guess who it was? Dr. Sloth himself,
hey it is his carnival isn't it? Dr. Sloth took her into his dark office and
tied her to a chair. His office smelled oddly of asparagus for some reason.
Meanwhile back at the NeoHome, Kate and her other pets were starting to get
worried. Kate had left LGW_Red forty-five minutes ago, and she still wasn't
home. She couldn't still be playing her game, not for that long. So Kate, LGM_Green,
LGM_Yellow and LGW_Blue all headed over to the Haunted Woods and the carnival.
They searched and searched but they couldn't find her anywhere. Finally LGW_Blue
found her sister's charm bracelet on the ground near the shooting area.
"Mum! Quick come over here, I found LGW_Red's bracelet," yelled LGW_Blue.
Kate, LGM_Green and LGM_Yellow rushed over, it was for sure her bracelet.
LGM_Green looked to the right and saw a building that seemed to be an office
of some sort, so he walked over and tried to open the door but it was locked.
He looked around trying to find an open window, but he couldn't find one. Then
LGM_Yellow heard some circus music coming from the big top.
Over at the big top Dr. Sloth was planning a circus, but this wasn't a good
circus at all. It was a circus he planned to run by hypnotising NeoPets to do
all the acts. LGW_Red was his first victim; he planned to make her walk on the
tight rope. LGW_Red was completely scared of heights, but she couldn't notice
what she doing anyway being hypnotised. Soon more NeoPets came, and more and
more acts were planned.
The circus was just about to start when; LGW_Red's family came running into
the big top. LGM_Green, LGM_Yellow and LGW_Blue were ready to battle Dr. Sloth
to get their sister back. With weapons ready, the battle begun.
"Do you weak little NeoPets think you can really defeat me?" yelled out Dr.
Sloth.
"We can if we're battling for our sister!" LGM_Green, LGM_Yellow and LGW_Blue
yelled back.
Kate tried to de-hypnotise all the NeoPets that had been caught, while Dr.
Sloth was busy battling. But she still couldn't see her little LGW_Red anywhere.
While she was searching, her other pets were trying their best to defeat Dr.
Sloth, but they just weren't strong enough yet. Dr. Sloth took one last shot,
and the trio all fell to the ground. Dr. Sloth let out an evil laugh, and then
realised that the girl that was with these pets was gone.
Kate was able to de-hypnotise the NeoPets, and she told them to go home to
their owners before Dr. Sloth came. The pets didn't hesitate a second. Kate
was still looking, for LGW_Red when someone walked up behind her.
"Looking for this?" Dr. Sloth said holding up LGW_Red.
"Let her go!" Kate yelled.
"Why should I? If I gave her to you, that wouldn't make a very good bad guy
would it?" Dr. Sloth replied with an evil look in his eyes.
Kate started to cry; all she wanted was her little girl back. Dr. Sloth was
just about to walk away with LGW_Red, when there was a sound of little robots
walking towards the big top. The Robot Chia clowns had turned on Dr. Sloth;
they all surrounded him throwing their toxic pies at him, trying not to hit
LGW_Red. Dr. Sloth dropped LGW_Red, as he did one of the bigger Robot Chia clowns
sped over to catch her. He then brought her over to Kate. Kate thanked him and
the other Robot Chia clowns over and over again.
Dr. Sloth had somehow got away from the Robot Chia's and escaped. Kate rushed
over to her other pets holding LGW_Red. She picked them all up, just as reporters
from The Neopian Times arrived. Kate told them she would have an interview with
them after she took her pets to the Healing Springs. She gave them her address.
When they arrived at the Healing Springs in Faerieland, they were lucky enough
to get completely healed and fed. Kate thanked the Water Faerie, and then headed
back to her NeoHome
When they arrived the reporters were waiting outside her door, Kate let them
in and offered them a drink. They started to ask her and her pet's questions,
they answered them as best they could. The reporters finished with their questions,
and then took a quick picture of Kate and her pets. The reporters thanked them
for the interview, and said that the article would be in the next paper. Kate
walked them out as her pets headed up to their beds; it had been a long day.
Kate headed up to say goodnight to her pets, when she walked into LGW_Red's
room she was crying.
"What's wrong?" Kate asked as she put her arm around her.
"I'm just happy to be home Mum," LGW_Red said with a smile.
"And I'm happy to have you home," Kate replied giving LGW_Red a hug.
LGW_Red got under her covers, and fell asleep within minutes. As Kate walked
out of her room Kate thought to herself, is this the end of Dr. Sloth and his
robots, or will he come back with them again... most likely they will come back,
or some other evil plan... this is Neopia we're talking about.
