It was a chilly day in Happy Valley. Thunderboltjaws the cloud Lupe, was walking
up to the Ice
Caves. He was passing a large, icy field and he saw a bit of movement
out of the corner of his eye.
He walked over to the area where he saw the movement. He saw a little ball
of blue. He didn't know what it was. He approached it. When he got close he
saw it was a baby Chia. It was sleeping on a blanket. Thunder put his paw on
the baby and realised it was freezing. He looked around and saw no sign of any
other living creature.
Thunder wrapped the Chia in the blanket and picked it up. He started to walk
to the Frosty Chia Clan territory. Soon, he was near the small Chia structures.
The Chia guards saw Thunder and they sounded the alarm.
"A Lupe is coming! Hurry! Arm yourselves!" shouted one of the guards.
Many Chias ran to the top of the wall. They pelted Thunder with small stones.
Thunder figured they had catapults hidden behind the wall. He didn't want to
fight so he ran, taking the baby Chia with him.
Thunder travelled to his small house just outside of Happy Valley. He saw
his 'brother.' His 'brother' was a starry Uni named PyroNuclear. Thunder walked
over to him.
"Nuclear, I need you to do something for me. I can't do it myself without
getting destroyed," said Thunder.
"Sure. What do you need me to do?" asked Nuclear.
"I need you to travel to the Frosty Chia Clan and the Icy Chia Clan and find
out if this baby belongs to them," said Thunder. He showed the baby to Nuclear.
Nuclear nodded. "I will leave immediately."
Nuclear set the baby in a basket and put a blanket on it. He took the basket
in his mouth and flew towards the Frosty Chia Clan.
When he arrived, he noticed that the guards were extremely nervous. He asked
to be let through.
"Sure," said a guard. "I am sorry but we will have to search your basket.
We had a Lupe come near earlier today."
"Thunder," muttered Nuclear. The Chias didn't hear him. They looked in the
basket and only saw the baby. They let Nuclear go by to visit the clan's leader.
When he arrived at the leader's home, he was let in after he was searched.
A Lupe hair was found in the basket but Nuclear said that he stole the basket
from a Lupe. Nuclear was then allowed to see the leader.
"Greetings. I am PyroNuclear. I live south of Happy
Valley. A friend asked me to bring this baby to you to see if it belonged
to anyone," Nuclear said in his most polite voice.
"Let me see the baby," said the leader, a white Chia. He looked over the baby.
"I am sorry but this does not belong to our clan. As far as I can tell, he belongs
to no clan. He smells of Lupe."
Nuclear left the Frosty Chias and proceeded to the Icy Chias. The same happened
with them. Sadly, Nuclear flew back to his home with the baby where Thunder
was waiting.
"Thunder, I am sorry. They said the baby smelled of Lupe and even if the baby
belonged to them, they would not take him," said Nuclear.
"Then what are we to do with him?" asked Thunder.
"I do not know," said Nuclear.
"We must do something. Nuclear, you always come up with the good ideas. Even
if you have a dumb idea, please tell me. I don't care how stupid or crazy it
sounds," said Thunder.
Nuclear sighed. "The only thing we can do is keep him. You can raise him as
your son and protect him from other Lupes who would seek to harm him."
Thunder nodded and looked at the baby. "That seems to be the only choice.
I suppose we should give him a name."
"Thunder should be in his name. You saved his life. If you had left him in
the cold, he would surely be dead by now," said Nuclear.
"How about PyroThunder? You did much to help him find his true family," said
Thunder.
"Welcome, PyroThunder," said Nuclear.
