MERIDELL - Ever since the rediscovery of Meridell, Neopians have been asking
one question: Should we play Kiss the Mortog or Double or Nothing?
A study has been done on both. After playing Kiss the Mortog 10 times and collecting
right away, it turned out that I broke even. Then I went to test my luck on
Double or Nothing. That costs 10 Neopoints to play. But you must flip the coin
twice to actually earn anything, so I collected the second time. After 10 games,
it turned out that I won 4/10 times, therefore I lost 10 NP.
Now right now you may be thinking that you should just go play Kiss the Mortog
because you will lose money playing Double or Nothing. Not so fast, there are
STILL more disadvantages with both games. Don't worry, I'll get to the advantages
soon enough!
First with Kiss the Mortog. Kiss the Mortog costs 50 Neopoints to play, and
so it's gonna cost quite a lot of money if you play several games. However,
after kissing 4 Mortogs correctly you can win 5,900 Neopoints, which can come
in handy. The bad thing is that if you kiss the wrong Mortog, you end up having
this really nasty green goo all over your face which is really hard to get off!
Now here are the bad things with Double or Nothing! A lot of the time, you
really think that old Snargan has a coin with tails on both sides. You may have
a sudden winning streak, and have it all blown away. The other bad thing about
this guy is that he'll make you feel bad! "I'll enjoy counting my winnings!"
However, it can be quite fun to hear him say, "Well I'll be eating stale bread
for a week because of that..."!
The main disadvantage with both is that they are both very addicting. "You
have won 5,900 so far....". You get this uncontrollable urge to keep hitting
the continue button but it hurts when you pick the wrong Mortog or it lands
on tails instead of heads! Therefore, I must say that if you are on a roll,
that you should collect before you blow it all away!
Now here are the advantages of both the games! If you are super super super
lucky you can get on the Hi Score list and actually receive a pretty trophy!
And if you are lucky enough to get a trophy, it means you have just earned a
TON of money from the games!
But in the end, we are all unlucky Neopians and WILL lose money from the games.
So now the question is, that if you are into gambling as I myself am, who are
you going to throw your money out the window to?
Let's start with the Grundo that run Kiss the Mortog! Nobody knows his real
name, but we know he is a King. Our current theory on him is that he was originally
a Disco Bruce that had a very bad experience with a certain lab ray. It turned
him into a Disco Grundo (even though they currently don't exist) and was kissed
by a random princess from the near future and was turned into a king with WAY
too much power. He got tired from telling his servants what to do for hours
upon hours and then decided to make others go through what he had to. Yep, he
wanted to trick Neopians into kissing rotten and smelly petpets into a beautiful
Prince or Princess-something even uglier than a Mortog!!
Now onto Snargan, the castle treasurer! In his spare time he tries to make
money off innocent little Neopians (and he is very good at it too!!)! During
his breaks (he always has breaks), he'll invite others to play a game of chance.
Since we are all money-thirsty Neopians we fall for it and we end up giving
him all the dough in our pockets! This Skeith is one selfish unfoolish fool
and must be stopped from continuing this dilemma!!
So from what I said about Snargan and the Unnamed Grundo, I think that even
though Kissing Mortogs costs more NP (not to mention it gets really disgusting
after a while) that it is a better option than handing your money to a greedy
mean old Skeith! But overall, I highly recommend that you keep a safe distance
from this Neopets, as they have the power to make your money disappear in seconds
(that is if you have a high speed connection!), the ability to realise that
you have nothing left in your little bank account, and the nerve to make fun
of you for it! However there is a game out there that is safe! A game out there
in this cruel world that makes people smile, showing their beautiful teeth (or
in my case, evil braces), making them smarter, increasing their intelligence
so much that their brains might explode!! A game that is free, and you can play
up to three times a day! A game that gives you money for something that can
take as fast as 20 seconds to do!! Yes, my fellow friends, this game that we
all love dearly is safer than ever and is more fun that anything in this world!
