"Watch out!"
"Why?"
Too late. Uglog's raft smashed into a huge grey rock that stuck right out
of the water. Thankfully, the raft held together.
"Ponk!" cried the yellow Moehog. "Is there any way you can bite through the
ropes?"
Ponk tried his best to use his sharp teeth, but his short neck could not bend
down far enough to reach the ropes.
"Sorry, I can't!" he called back!
Uglog turned his head, and prodded the ropes with his tusks. They began to
rip and tear. A smile gleamed across his face.
"I got it! I am going to break the ropes with my tusks!" called Uglog back,
but Ponk was too busy trying to steer his raft away from another big rock.
Uglog got to work. He began to pick the ropes. One broke away, but he had
at least nineteen ropes left. He began to prod the rope again with his right
tusk.
"Uglog!" screamed Ponk from the other side of Blob River. "I hear a water
fall coming up! You will never have enough time to break all the ropes!"
Uglog pricked up his ears and cried out in horror as he heard the raging rapids
of the waterfall not too far off. He dug his tusks into the ropes frantically,
and now broke away two more ropes.
Ponk was squiggling and trying to free himself, but his big body was tightly
wrapped. Sweat gathered on his brow, but he heard Uglog cry in delight. Turning
his head, he saw the Moehog stand on his wooden raft, the ropes floating down
the river.
"I broke free!" smiled the Moehog.
"I can see that. NOW GET ME LOOSE!" pined Ponk, hearing the waterfall come
closer and closer by the second.
Bravely, Uglog gathered his hind legs, and sprang off. In one gigantic leap,
he landed onto Ponk's bobbing raft. With his sharp hooves, he cut the ropes
right off the blue Skeith, and Ponk climbed onto his four feet as well.
The rafts were just on the edge of the waterfall when Ponk grabbed Uglog and
flew off the raft with his tiny wings. They both landed safely on the bank,
tired, but picked themselves up and started to make the long journey back to
Mount Blob.

"Where is Ponk?" asked a red Skeith to Slik.
A group of Skeiths were gathered around Slik, all crying out questions about
Ponk. Slik tried his best to calm them down, but was successful, and they continued
to attack him with all these questions.
"Is Ponk a traitor?"
"Where is he now?"
"Why are you the new captain?"
"Does King Blob know about this?"
Slik hushed everyone down a bit, and began his story once more.
"King Blob," started Captain Slik. "And I, have found out that Ponk was a
traitor, and was trying to help the Moehogs! Therefore, we sent him away to
father lands... by water transportation."
Little did Slik know that Ponk and Uglog were making their way around Mount
Blob and toward the Moehog village. Bother were extremely weary, from all the
shock of the river, and the journey to Mount Blob made their feet ache with
pain. But both of them knew that they had to reach the Skeiths and the Moehogs.
They had to tell what happened.
Uglog squinted and saw the lonely line of Moehogs walk up the hill, and they
saw the gigantic King Blob on top, eating the delicious vegetables.
"I think the Skeiths are off duty," observed Ponk. "They are all gathered
around in a group for some meeting."
"This is perfect!" grinned Uglog. "You go and get all the Skeiths, while I'll
chat with my fellow Moehogs."
In ten minutes, Uglog had galloped toward the line of Moehogs, and Ponk, with
his tiny wings, was hovering over Slik and the group of Skeith guards.
In a single movement, the gallant Ponk flew down and shoved Slik to the ground,
and stood on him like a platform. All the other Skeiths were amazed, for they
thought that Ponk was banished, and were also stunned by the fact that Ponk
dared to attack a fellow Skeith.
"Friends!" cried Ponk over the bubbling chatter. "You may have listened to
this so-called Captain Slik, but he is wrong. Whatever he told you, it was a
lie. Last night, I was forced out of my own home, and tied to a raft, and left
to be drowned in Blob River! And guess who sentenced my punishment? None other
then King Blob! Why? Because I dared to speak out against him!
"I believe all of you agree with me! We may all be lazy, but we are not cold-hearted.
I think we all nod our heads when we say that it is wrong to make the Moehogs
our slaves, and let us lie about, doing nothing all day, while King Blob gorges
on their garden foods. When King Blob told us all to be guards and to push around
the Moehogs, we agreed in fear of him. But if we all had our own will, we would
not push around the Moehogs, but make peace with them! Who hear agrees with
me?"
There was the wave of cheers as thousands of Skeiths clapped their hands and
hooted! Ponk was right! They found a new strength within the Skeith. They are
chanted and rooted for the blue NeoPet, and the whole clan of Skeiths flew up
Mount Blob toward their always-hungry lord.
Meanwhile, Uglog was halting the line of Moehogs. He snorted for everyone
to look at him, then stood on his hind legs so he could look tall.
"Moehogs! At this very moment," cried Uglog. "My dear friend, Captain Ponk,
a Skeith, is leading his band of Skeith guards up Mount Blob to overthrow our
tyrant! We are rebelling! REBELLION!"
All the Moehogs cried: "REBELLION! REBELLION!" and they dropped their vegetable
filled baskets and charged up the steep slope, toward King Blob himself.
King Blob was munching on a few hundred carrots, when he saw the group of
Skeiths and Moehogs running toward them. The Skeiths had their claws extended
and their teeth bared, while the Moehogs had their tusks pointed toward him,
and their sharp hooves pounding the earth. Divided, the Skeiths or the Moehogs
would not stand a chance, but united, they could quickly overpower the King.
The red Skeith lord swiped his claws at the mob, but he felt himself being
pushed off his summit. The Moehogs and the Skeiths were heaving and shoving
him with all their strength, slowly pushing the King over the hill. King Blob
flapped his small wings pitifully, but he was so fat that they did not pick
him off the ground.
Before he could even scream, the mob had pushed him off Mount Blob, and he
rolled down the slope like a bouncy ball. With a gigantic splash, he landed
into the deep, deep Blob River, and they never saw him again.
That day, the Moehogs and the Skeiths celebrated their victory. They made
a holiday known as Free Food Day, in the honour of overthrowing King Blob. All
the Skeiths would get free food from the Moehogs, and in return, the Skeiths
would protect the Moehog village from anyone similar to King Blob.
Uglog and Ponk remained good friends. Slik was sentenced to be Mork's own
servant, and when Slik did not do as he was told, he was forced to eat rotting
cabbage. Mork found a great joy in this.
Generations and generations from that day, on that mountain called Mount Blob,
Skeiths and Moehogs have lived together. It is quite an original site, and you
cannot find it anywhere else in Neopia. See it for yourself!
