As the year ends, we remember what happened during the past year. And it
was a fun one on NeoPets! New worlds, Battledome, so much! I decided to write
this article describing the major parts of the year on NeoPets.
Battledome
This was one of the first additions to NeoPets this year. It was finally brought
to NeoPets on Jan. 11 (my birthday by the way) after almost a year of promising
it. At first, everyone had to fight, it was the thing to! It made weapon, codestone,
and faerie prices soar from 500 to 5000! Now things have calmed down and the
Battledome is still popular.
Faerieland, Tyrannia, Sakhmet, and Krawk Island
Wow, 4 worlds in one year! The day after they opened the Battledome, they opened
up Faerieland. When it first came out you needed a Totem to get there, but then
eventually they opened it up to the public later.
Tyrannia was opened in March, along with the Plateau and Volcano. It was then
invaded by an army trying to destroy them in May, but then Neopia defeated them
all! Woohoo!
Sakhmet wasn't released until July, but the story for it started just as school
was letting out in June. There was also this murder mystery-who killed King
Coltzan? It was called Usurper, and the day to turn in your entries everyone
was frantically trying to be first. The Fruit Machine and the shrine took a
while, but they finished :).
Krawk Island is fairly new. The story behind that is well, unknown. They never
finished it. It's a great place to find an alternative for training at Mystery
Island.
Meercas, Pteris, Eyries and Kyriis (that sounds funny!)
Four new pets came to Neopia his year. Two (Eyrie and Kyrii) of the new pets
replaced old ones and Meercas and Pteris just came brand new. All of them are
featured in games now, look for out them!
New Stuff
If I wrote down every new food and every new game that came out this year the
page would go so far it would take three days to read. There were Usukis, faerie
bubbles, faerie Paint Brushes, PetPet Paint Brushes, Meerca Chase, Korbats Lab,
Desert Paint Brushes, the list goes on and on. Let's just say they put out too
much stuff to mention in one paragraph.
Online Store
Last but not least NeoPets opened up the online store. It started out as just
T-shirts, but now there are plushies too! And maybe soon they'll put the merchandise
they're selling in stores in the online store too! Hmm...maybe...
