Could it have been over so soon? I painfully opened my eyes. Sloth had returned
to one body. No, I had to try and get up!
“I thought the legendary 008 would be more of a challenge, but I guess not.
Prepare for my ultimate attack--Destructo Ray bomb!!” He began to summon his
attack when a transformed NeoPet broke out of his cage and jumped at him!
“Arrggg! Get off me you monster!” The NeoPet didn’t stop attacking. As Sloth
struggled to get him off, I painfully rolled into a corner. I grabbed a metal
bar and pulled myself up. Sloth had already freed himself from the NeoPet and
was looking for me. I grabbed the sword from my Pack and put it in front of
me.
It began to shine brightly! The power surged through my body! It was very powerful.
I felt fully recovered!
“Ha, I have found you!” Sloth ran up to me. He stuck out his hands and fired
a scorching fire ball. The sword reacted with a mind of its own and reflected
the attack from Sloth! It flew back at him and he bounced against the wall!!
“Beware young fool. You were lucky this time. I will be back.” Sloth teleported
away. I sat down. The sword lifted from my hands it began to glow brighter than
it ever had before. I watched as its glow turn the NeoPets back to original
and it teleported them back to there home. I grabbed the sword when it was done.
Before I could move the sword, it had used all it’s power and disintegrated!
I was very tired. I laid there for a few minutes, but knew Sloth was up to no
good.
I had to find a way out and find the Space Faerie and stop Sloth. I carefully
got up and looked around. The room was huge. All the room was filled with was
cages that were now of course empty. I began to wonder what was I suppose to
do.
I had no idea what to do first. I had no warning I would be saving the Earth
someday. I shook it out of my head. I walked around the room. I found no exit.
Or at least I think I looked all around.
“Space Faerie!” I shouted. I heard nothing, but my echo.
I thought I heard something to my left. I turned. I heard something and I knew
it. I listened carefully, but I heard nothing. I grabbed a ray gun from my back
and shot a circle in the wall.
I backed off and ran shoulder first. I jumped against the wall with my body.
It broke open and I saw a big room. I got up and saw the Space Faerie trapped.
“Space Faerie! Your alive!” She looked weak and hurt. I ran up to her. She
was trapped by a electric wall.
“008! I need more adoptions!” she struggled to talk.
“I’ll save you. Let me help.” I grabbed the electric wall and it shocked me
back 10 feet!
“No!! Neopians have been warned to adopt the Grundos! You must find Sloth now!
There’s only three hours left until he fires at Neopia, and it’ll all be over……

“You have to stay back. Every time you touch the wall it drains your energy!
The Neopians will save me! Go find Sloth and help stop the ray.” I could tell
she was very angry, and so I left the room.
I broke another wall and walked in. I walked for about 10 minutes with finding
nothing. I thought it was pretty strange that the Space Faerie didn’t have that
much guards around.
I began to realise that the ship was huge! I found a wall with a hole in it
and quickly went in. I was dumbfounded back at where I started! This was impossible!
How was I too ever find Sloth in his ship. I knew that I had to find the main
section. He would be there.
I just knew he would be there. I had a strange feeling. I was only walking
in circles. Almost an hour had passed and I had found nothing put empty space.
Where were the robots and guards. Something was wrong.
I continued on my search. I walked a bit faster now, just in case. I dropped
my ray gun onto the wall.
Clank!
The wall sounded hollow. I shot out fire from my hand. I carefully walked in.
I looked to my left and saw nothing. I looked to my right and found about ten
stronger looking robots then before!!
“Intruder. Confirmed. Not known. Destroy! Destroy!” The robot s all turned
up there laser. I knew that had to mean trouble.
“Stand back!” I pulled out my ray gun and fired at them. The ray reflected
off the robot and almost hit me! I jumped back quickly. The robots locked there
evil eyes on me and began to fire. I flipped back and dodged a few.
When I looked back at them, they were still firing. Finally one hit me and
it hurt badly. The laser was probably triple times the other laser that almost
hit me. I fell to the ground and rolled a few feet. I got myself back on my
feet and turned up the darkness.
“Darkness, fill the room!!” With the ability of the Dark Faerie, I filled the
room with darkness. I hoped they couldn’t see, but when I turned up the light
on my hand so I could see, I was surrounded. I couldn’t believe that they were
so quiet when moving.
With a reaction from the surprise, I grabbed a rope gun and shot it at the
ceiling. I pulled myself half way up. Amazingly the robots jumped higher than
that and broke the rope. These robots were too strong for me. I began to fall,
but I couldn’t see the ground!
“Light, release your Power!” The light quickly returned and I was already about
ten feet before the ground, right before smacking into it, I forced a wind blast
around me. A blast of wind surrounded me like in one of those cartoon shows
when they fly. Suddenly it came to me.
“That’s it! I’ll fly. I jumped in the air and flew with the wind helping me.
I underestimated the wind’s power and it was too powerful to control. I realised
that the room had a door, and I forced me shoulder against it.
The next thing I knew, I was rolling on the floor in another room. I was unconscious
with time running out. I woke up and quickly realised that I was knocked out.
I turned and saw the most incredible thing. The room was filled with Sloth’s!
I believe they were clones. This must have been the secret that the girl told
me about!
I ran around searching for some clue. Until at the end of the room. I discovered
why there were no guards. The room was filled with dozens of robots small and
little. Other monsters that were disgusting. At behind all that sat Sloth!
“Sleeping like a baby I see. Well guess what? There’s only fifteen more minutes
on the countdown.” He pointed up and I looked up. I saw a clock hit the fifteen
minute mark. And it began to go down……
Oh no. Sloth was going to fire in fifteen minutes. I had to stop him and save Neopia.
I looked around for something useful. I grabbed my pack and searched around.
I found nothing that could really help me now. I knew I could destroy the small
robots with my ray gun, so I took it out and fired. One exploded. I stared at
them. None of them moved.
“Attack!” Sloth pointed to the robots. In respond they all got up and prepared
to destroy me. I backed off and destroyed as many small robots as I could. I
ran and kicked one robot down. Another one grabbed me and I flipped him over.
“Fifteen more minutes.” I knew Sloth was taunting me. I had to get to the ray
before he fired. I jumped onto the ground as three robots tried to jumped onto
me. I rolled and found myself at a monsters foot. He kicked me to a robot, but
I twirled and shot out a fireball at the robot.
It fell to the ground. I ran to another robot and kicked him down. Two robots
grabbed me. I suddenly flipped onto them while holding there arms and flew fire
out from my shoes flames. They let go and I flew to the ray! I was almost there
when a gigantic monster stepped up and I just bounced off of him.
I flew back against a robot. I looked at the robot and I saw small sparks from
his head! I knew what to do. I shot out water from my hand at all the robots.
They began to squirm and stop moving. I knew it was working. Water doesn’t go
to nicely with electricity.
“Six more minutes. You may have destroyed my robots, but I will finish you
off. Only if you manage to get pass my monsters.” Five monsters stepped up to
me and they were about ten feet tall. I found a laser gun just before they began
to run at me. I grabbed it and my ray gun. I fired them at the same time and
the monsters were hurting in pain.
I shot them all. They were just standing there. I knew this was too easy, but
I had to save Neopia, no matter what style I did it in. Even though Neopians
didn’t even know that I’m trying to save them now, at least I’ll know I’m a
hero.
Before killing any monster. I knew they were living things, so I just ran and
kicked them to the ground. All of them. Nothing stood in my way anymore. Nothing,
but me and sloth.
“You're not living. You just pure evil. So I can destroy you if I wanted to!!”
Sloth just began to laugh. I looked up at the clock as it hit the two minute
mark.
“Only two minutes left. Do you think you can really save Neopia from being
destroyed? I don’t think so!” Sloth pulled a lever and I watched as all the
clones flew into the empty space.
“What are you up to Sloth?” Sloth just smiled.
“I set clones out. So even if you destroy me, I will always be everywhere.
They will hand out potions to transmogrify NeoPets in Neopia and to other worlds
as well. Too late boy, it’s all over.” I got distracted and realised the clock
was at 59 seconds left! I ran to him.
“Noooo. You’ll never win Sloth.!” He fired a quick ball of electricity at me.
It knocked me too the ground, but I could not give up no matter what! I got
back up. He pulled another lever that locked a glass around me. I was trapped!
It was too dangerous to fire anything at the risk of hurting myself.
I could do nothing, but wait. The clock began to go down until it finally hit
ZERO! I closed my eyes in hopes of a miracle.
“As I said, it’s too late.” Sloth pushed a button and the laser powered. Just
as he hit the button. I saw a glimpse of the Space Faerie!!
“I will not let you destroy Neopia!” She flew in front of the ray!
“Nooo don’t!” I tried yelling, but it was no good. Everything seemed to go
slow as the ray went out and hit her. I saw her gain with all her might and
reflect the ray right back at us! I was filled with joy as Sloth trembled and
a big explosion blew up the ship! I saw the explosion head right to me…..
And that was the last anyone had ever heard from 008! Or John Bund. Was he
alive? Did he make it out? To this day, he has never made another appearance
in our world. We will always remember him for he was the brave warrior who took
on Sloth alone. All to save the world he loved.... Neopia.
