Friday, 3:07 PM my time and NeoPets time, I logon to NeoPets. I see on the
front page: NEOHOME GARDENS! My reflexes make me put a garden right in my NeoHome.
I'm told it costs 100 NP and 10 hours. Drat! I'm so upset just waiting!
But anyway, I decide to pass the time. First, BETTER THEN YOU! against Mr.
Pickles. (And 'Deux fois cinquante ans de cinema francais' to you to,
whatever that means!) Second, wait. Third, wait. Fourth, man I'm bored.
Grr... time to set my alarm to 1:00 AM!
Well, on Monday I finally get my garden made due to evil database errors.
(I DIDN'T DO IT! HONEST!) The three plants I start off with putting in my garden
are Tactis, Bad Seed, and Floating Cactus Flower. I named the garden 'Pointy
Things Garden.' I changed the grass to have a slight red tint. Of course, after
a little while, there wasn't much more I could do. So I started my new garden,
but it would take until midnight for it to come.
Meanwhile, after reading aerospacegod's Battledome Site, which totally rocks
by the way, and entering my NeoPets in the May 13th Beauty Contest I was still
waiting for the garden. Still 7 hours. By the way, speaking of the beauty contest,
their names are egold, spacegold, splashgold, and lizzagold. PLEASE VOTE FOR
THEM!!
Anyway, I looked in my Safety Deposit Box and pulled out a Spiky Bush and
Large Thorn Growth. The one small problem I saw was that the ground of the Large
Thorn Growth didn't match the ground of the rest of the bush. (I bet Number
6 did that!)
To fix the problem, I changed the grass colour one shade green and covered
the corners with other items. Now, however, the rest of the lawn was bare. So
I withdrew even more things from the Safety Deposit Box and pulled them in the
garden. Man did it look good! I ended up with:
Large Thorn Growth x1

Bad Seed x1
Floating Cactus Flower x3
Tactis x3
Dunkydoos x3
Doesn't that sound like a great garden? Well, the next day my 2nd Garden was
built and I was ready to use it. I took out a huge mass of items this time equaling:
Boadaisy x2
Blossom x2
Dunkydoos x2
Bluebells
Plurby Bush
Snake Rose
Pebeanjay Flowers
Lazydels
Rubber Plant
For those of you who what these plants look like, good for you. If you know
what they have in common, even better. If you said they all are funky-looking,
wrong!
They're all purple(ish)! So my next garden was the Purple Things Garden, and
of course, I made my grass purple! I was extremely happy with the turnout of
my two gardens.
If you have a bunch of plants and don't want to randomly place them about,
here are some themes you could do:
Tall Plants
*Insert Colour of Choice Here* Plants
Trees
Plants with Eyes
Edible Plants
Also, one of my discoveries was the non-plant Potting Bench. It's a Gardening
Item, right? So can it be planted? Yes! However, you can't pot anything in it.
You also may say, "Bah! These NeoHome Gardens are a waste of time and money!"
Oh yeah, so is the Battledome, but not when Leagues and the Monoceraptor came
around! There you could make millions. What is going to happen to NeoHomes?
Possibly the NeoHome Spotlight? Or maybe you can have parties? Maybe even NeoHome
Gardens will have some plants that produce food? Examples are the: Heart Fruit
Tree and the Tami Veggie Plant. Yum! However, be really careful with
NeoHome Gardens if you have to buy your plants. After the second or third plant,
expenses can get really steep and may be best invested somewhere else. |
