Re-recap, Viator the fire Shoyru, is the Dragon knight to the elemental
Dragon of Fire, Ignus. Ethine, a Faerie Peophin is the dragon knight to Hydrola,
dragon of water, Murikaze, a gold Grarrl was discovered as the dragon knight
to Gaia the Earth Dragon, and Dethonis, an electric Eyrie, was found to be the
dragon knight to the Air Dragon Marina. It was also discovered that the light
and darkness dragons exist, but, if you want the full story. READ IT! Sheesh.
Drop da bomb
As the setting sun glinted off the glass of the spooky forest NeoHome, inside,
a fire Shoyru could be seen sitting in front of a glowing TV screen.
"ARGH! FIREBALL!" yelled Viator the fire Shoyru at the TV screen.
She sat cross-legged on the floor, on a large beanbag chair in front of a
dancing fireplace. Behind her, a Faerie Poogle had fallen asleep on a large
purple armchair. A small Bluna slept on the Poogle's head, a tiny spot of drool
forming on its chin.
"Really Viator, like yelling is going to help," said a Faerie Cybunny, sitting
on a large couch beside the window. It was obvious Viator was too caught up
in the game lighting up the television to notice what WhiteSilver had said.
Sitting beside the Cybunny was a fire Acara. She had piled books on the arm
of the couch, and was attempting to translate a large novel from Latin, to English.
However, Viator continued to yell, and she looked up from her large text.
"Viator, why don't you just play something else," said Admantine, frowning
in anger. "I really need to finish this, and I can't concentrate when you yell
at imaginary characters!"
"But… but," stuttered Viator, turning to face the Cybunny and Acara. "Olden
Neopia needs saving! And I'm almost to level 12!"
"You've been playing for three hours! You even skipped dinner for gosh sakes!"
said WhiteSilver, throwing her arms up in frustration.
"Yes, why don't you play that game WhiteSilver just got," said Admantine,
trying to conceal her annoyance.
"Because… she's faster at it! And the game requires speed!" whined Viator,
trying to ignore WhiteSilver's smug look as she got off the couch.
"It's her turn to use the TV Viator. Grow up!" snorted Admantine, returning
to her ancient texts.
"Very well," sighed Viator, as she turned to her game console, and flipped
it off. "You may have won THIS time Jahbal! But next time you will fall to the
hands of, VIATOR! Dragon knight of fire!" but as she was striking her finishing
pose, WhiteSilver pushed her away, and set out the two large game pads.
Viator sighed as she looked at the four arrows on the floor. The point of the
game was to hit the corresponding arrows on the screen to the beat of the music.
Naturally, considering she had no rhythm, she failed often.
WhiteSilver smirked at Viator's grimace, and flipped the game on. She circled
the list of CDs once, then chose one with an extreme rating. Viator's mouth
dropped open in protest.
"NO FAIR! YOU BIG JERK!" she yelled as she stepped onto the gaming pad.
"Maybe if you learned to have some rhythm, you would do better! You never know
when it may come in handy anyway!" smirked WhiteSilver, beginning to tap her
foot to the beat.
The music rang out loud and clear, in a techno dance mix of epic proportions.
WhiteSilver immediately got the beat down, and had already scored a 15 combo.
Viator, however, continually missed. By the end of the song, Viator had tangled
herself in the mat, and her character had gone completely off screen because
she was doing so poorly.
"Really Viator…how did you end up like that?" laughed WhiteSilver as Viator
untangled herself.
"Shaddup…" muttered Viator, frowning in anger.
"Play you again?" said WhiteSilver, cocking her head to the side. "We can do
an easy song."
"How can I say this," said Viator, putting her hand to her chin. "No. Now
if you wanted to play something reasonable, like, Warriors of pain 3, I could
understand."
"Fine! Addy will play with me!" said WhiteSilver, waving to the Acara.
"Sigh," said Admantine, as she slipped off the cough, and onto Viator's wrinkled
dance pad.
"Pssh, nobody can do this game except you WhiteSilver…" said Viator, rolling
her eyes. Naturally, as the music started at an equally fast tempo as before,
both Admantine and WhiteSilver were moving perfectly to the beat.
"FOO!" yelled Viator, as she shook her fist at the two of them. "I'm going
out!" she cried, as she walked through the hall of the NeoHome, taking advantage
of the two preoccupied sisters, and the sister that was asleep.
As she slammed the door, and stood in the dusky yard, Viator inhaled the cool
air deeply into her lungs.
"Aaahh, autumn…" she smiled happily, as she flapped her wings to catch an updraft.
Before Admantine, or WhiteSilver could get to the window, she was already in
the air, cruising on warm air currents.
"I'm boooooored," she whined after about 10 minutes of flying. "I bet Ignus'll
have something for me to do," she said, as she snapped her fingers at the idea,
and headed in the direction of Tyrannia's vast volcanic plains.
Have you never been mellow?
In the cold ice caps off the coast of Tyrannia, Dethonis had been practicing
some of his ice techniques. The charismatic electric Eyrie stopped for a breather,
looking up at the gray, snow heavy sky.
"Bloody heck. It'll be dark soon. Figures that once I get going, the sun would
go down!"
He began to fly towards a small ice cap, and set down to catch his breath again.
He sat down, letting out a sigh of relief, and closed his eyes. Naturally, his
tail swished back and forth across the snowy cap, sending slight amounts of
snow dust into his blue coat.
"Jeez. You'd think I would have learned to stop that by now!" he frowned, dusting
his fur off with a forepaw. Suddenly, he saw something glint off the setting
sun, and it appeared to be coming from within the ice block, he peered through
the small hole he had made with his tail.
"Hello…what's this?" he said, dusting the ice off more.
Inside, there appeared to be a skunk Scorchio. It wore old looking armour, that
was embossed with great detail.
"Good gods!" yelled Dethonis, pounding on the ice with great force. To his
relief, the ice cracked violently, and split apart, revealing the Scorchio's
head.
"Now…if I can warm you up you can break the rest of the way," he mumbled half
to himself, as he cast a small fireball. Considering the fact that he was poor
in fire magic, it looked more like a carrot then a blazing ball of fire, luckily,
it was enough to cause steam to rise off the frozen figure.
After several more tries, Dethonis jumped back, as the Scorchio's eyes popped
open.
"Ack! You startled me!" laughed Dethonis, putting a paw behind his head.
"Who are you?" asked the Scorchio, in a deep, angered voice.
"I am... wait," said Dethonis, struggling to strike a decent pose on the slippery
ice cap. "Erhem! I am Dethonis! Warrior of the element of air, and Dragon Knight
to the Great Air Dragon!"
"You are not!" growled the still half frozen Scorchio with anger.
"I beg your pardon? I do believe I am," snarled Dethonis, angered at such
impudence.
"You are not! I have seen the Air Dragon Knight! He was a large, white, noble
Lupe! Not a careless electric Eyrie!" yelled the Scorchio, the ice under him
beginning to crack.
Dethonis was about to respond with such anger, but he began to think back to
one of Marina's past lectures. She had spoken briefly about the war with the
mazoku, and the past Dragon Knights and Sages that were destroyed fighting for
their cause. He seemed to recall that she mentioned a white Lupe as one of them.
He shook his head, and looked down at the frozen Scorchio
"Before I correct you, may I ask who you are to know such information?" he
said, blinking in curiosity.
"I am," said the Scorchio, beginning to squirm under the ice. "NeroFautica!
Loyal Dragon Knight to the supremely powerful Darkness Dragon!!"
Dethonis pulled away in a startled gasp. Surely this fool had been lying? But
it would explain why he thought the Air Knight was the deceased Lupe
"How, exactly, did you become trapped in this ice cap?" asked the Eyrie, raising
an eyebrow.
"A sneaky, trickster mazoku with flashing purple eyes, and a great sneer led
me out here. While my back was turned, he cast a powerful ice spell on me, depriving
me of my contact with the power of the darkness dragon. Rendering me helpless,"
spat NeroFautica, the ice around him beginning to hiss and steam.
Dethonis shook his head sadly. He must have been telling the truth. How awful
for a dragon knight to be frozen for so long, and not even to know that his
comrades had passed away in the war. Then he pitied himself, for having to tell
his fellow Knight that his comrades had fallen to the hands of the mazoku.
"There is something you should know…" said Dethonis, rearing back in sadness.
"What?" sneered the angered Scorchio
"Though the war was won…all your comrades were destroyed in the process…" frowned
Dethonis.
"WHAT?" yelled the Scorchio "All of them?" he hung his head in sadness, and
muttered to himself. "Raylamenia…"
"Yes, I'm afraid. The Dragon Knights were the first to fall in defence. Then
the sages in the second wave…" sighed Dethonis, reciting a past lecture.
"And what of my master? I can no longer feel his power."
"I'm afraid... that after the war, he fell into an argument with the Light
Dragon. They now fight on another plane of existence…. He attempted to come
back but," continued Dethonis.
"And yet, your masters remained in this world, and sought out new dragon knights??"
snarled Nero
"Yes. We had to help seal the gap in the planes to prevent--" but before Dethonis
could finish, NeroFautica let out a piercing yell and shattered the ice around
him. He rose into the air without flapping his wings. Dethonis gasped as he
got a good look at Nero's armour and weapon, and all doubt he had of Nero being
the Darkness Dragon Knight faded. The armour glowed in a strange dark energy,
his arms bore large gauntlets, as did his legs. He wore a large breastplate
clad with the Darkness Dragon crest, as did his shoulder and shin guards. A
large cape of pure dark energy flowed behind him, and as if that wasn't impressive
enough, his weapon was an entity of its own.
In NeroFauticas hands, was a large broadsword. It glowed with the same colour
and energy of his armour, and across the blade was another Dark Dragon crest.
The sword began to radiate with dark energy as Nero's rage increased.
"YOU are a betrayer!" he screamed in anger, pointing at Dethonis.
"I did only what my master commanded!" cried the startled Eyrie as he lifted
into the air.
"You are not a true Dragon Knight!!" yelled Nero, swiping quickly with his
blade.
"I am! It's not my fault your comrades fell!" screamed Dethonis, dodging the
swipes quickly.
"Never shall I believe your lies! Though you may wish to be a true knight,
I will seek out YOUR fellow comrades, and down them! And while your masters
are weakened, I shall reopen the gap in the planes! And in a blaze of glory,
bring my master back to this world!" screamed Nero, slashing with more fury.
"YOU CAN"T! He will destroy this world! I won't let you go!" yelled Dethonis,
assuming an attack pose.
"You forget, you are at a serious disadvantage without Dragon Knight armour.
There is no way you could even attempt to battle me!" yelled Nero.
"I can try!" screamed Dethonis, firing a quick Ice Lance at the Scorchio
To his dismay, it merely bounced off the protective armour, and set the Scorchio
into a fit of maniacal laughter.
"That was amusing! For that nice dip of humor, I shall let you live." Said
Nero, holding up his sword. "But, only until I come back for you! For now, I
shall destroy the weakest of you impostors first. I can sense that it is a Faerie
Peophin. Farewell for now!" yelled Nero, and before Dethonis could reply or
attack, he had disappeared in a blinding burst of darkness. Leaving Dethonis
shocked, and angry. Suddenly, he realised what had happened.
"ETHINE!" he screamed, as he flew in the direction of the mountain lake.
Meanwhile, Viator was finally flying over the curved mouth of the volcano,
singing loudly, and off key to herself.
"IF YOU WERE, HERE WITH ME! LALALAA!!!" she sang, as she dipped her wings and
swooped into the maw of the volcano.
