This story is being based on what has happened to Trunks_801 in the Shoyru
RP. To make a long story short, he was told by an evil Shoyru named _Anrui about
him being adopted before his parents, Alanalea and Halsemon could. Trunks decides
to leave his home in search of who he is…
Trunks flew down near the edge of a lush, dark forest to rest. He had been
flying so fast to get away from everything, that he had forgotten to eat. He
pulled a Tchea
Fruit out of his sack and a bottle of water. Trunks quickly ate and
looked around at his surroundings, then down feeling a quick surge of emotion,
as a single, solitary tear hit the ground.
"Everything I thought was true… was all a lie… I don't even know who, or what,
I am anymore," he said sadly to himself. His thoughts fleeted into everything
that was left behind him… his mum and dad (who were just adoptive parents that
hadn't cared about him), his friends and the impressive castle they had played
in… and his best friend, LilacEcho.
Trunks reached into the Sheath of his Fire Sword and pulled out a small, gold
locket that gleamed in the fading sunlight… the 'Imperial Sun Locket'… it was
Echo's. In exchange for this, he had given her the 'Imperial Star Locket', which
had been his. It was all he had left of his once-happy life.
"But that's over now… Now, I need to find out who I am. Am I still a warrior-in-training?
Or just a pet with no past?" he asked quietly to himself, as he got up and leapt
into the air, to continue his journey.
As he flew farther and farther into the distance, away from his old home,
he thought of the events that led to his leaving:
The Shoyru named _Anrui looked down at Trunks with a smirk on her face.
"Everything I tell you is true… you were adopted, not born, into your group
of friends and family."
Trunks backed away, blinking back tears. "N-n-no… that's not true. You're
lying!"
_Anrui shrugged, but took a step towards him. "You can't hide from the
truth, Trunks," she hissed, "Alanalea never loved you… she found you as an egg
and PITIED you… took you in and called you her own…"
Trunks closed his eyes, and shouted, a stream of tears falling down his
face. "Stop it! Stop lying!"
The evil stars Shoyru loomed above the trembling Trunks. "I don't lie,
boy… I merely point the truth out. How much longer would you have been living
this lie if I hadn't told you? Do you think…" She paused and pointed to Alana,
who is sitting with a group of friends in the distance, "… that she ever intended
to tell you? Trust me, Trunks… I'm not trying to hurt you, but you should not
be kept in the dark about this…" Trunks looked up at _Anrui and said in a soft
voice, "I'm…adopted? And they never told me…"
_Anrui smiled, pleased, and nodded.
Trunks blankly returned to the edge of the forest, where everyone had been
waiting for him. They could sense that something was wrong.
"Sweetie, what's wrong? What happened?" Alana asked, a worried expression
on her face.
"I'm adopted, aren't I? And you never told me."
"Trunks, where are you going??"
"Far away from here."
His mother cried out to him desperately. "Please Trunks… don't leave!"
"I'm not a baby," he replied flatly.
Alana looked up at Halsemon, her eyes brimming, then back at her son.
"But you're our baby. Our son…"
"Not anymore."
Trunks sighed sadly as the memories flashed past him. He didn't know where
he was going… he just wanted to get away. From everything… and especially… them.
All he had left was his Fire Sword and Sheath, his Professional Bow, a pouch
with some food and Neopoints, and Echo's locket.
Before he knew it, it was getting dark and he was extremely worn out. Without
thinking, he landed near the closest world in Neopia. He blinked in realisation
that he was at Terror Mountain. A gentle breeze passed him, as the sun set slowly.
Trunks looked at the crystalline snow that surrounded him. NeoPets his age
scurried past him, in a hurry to get home in time for dinner. In a hurry to
get home to their families… He sighed and trudged on, trying to find a place
to stay for the night. Before Trunks knew it, he was near the entrance to the
Ice Caves. He stopped to look around, and crashed into another Shoyru.
"Oh… sorry about that," he mumbled.
"Nah… it's okay, kid. Didn't see where I was going," replied the shoyru.
Trunks looked at him. He was a green Shoyru with large, jagged scar above
his right eye.
"Hey kid… you look lost. Where's your family?" he asked.
Trunks looked down. "I-I don't have a family anymore," he said softly.
"Oh… sorry to hear that." The green Shoyru paused for a moment, musing to
himself.
"You look pretty strong for a young boy… you been training?"
Trunks nodded. "Yeah… I was training while I lived on Mystery Island."
"Was wondering where you were from… you stick out like a sore thumb around
here."
Trunks looked at the snow around them, then down at his fire coat.
"I guess I do…"
The green Shoyru tilted his head. "Well, kid… I haven't got all night. If
you don't have a place to stay, you can stick with me and m'gang."
Trunks looked surprised, but also grateful. "Really? Thanks!"
The green Shoyru grinned. "No problem… let's get going." He flew up into the
air, and Trunks followed.
"Um…. Where are we going?" Trunk asked curiously.
"Top of the mountain," the green Shoyru replied. "I live out in the Snow Forest."
Trunks nodded as they landed down near the edge of the dense forest.
"By the way, kid, I don't think I caught your name."
"Oh… I'm Trunks."
The green Shoyru nodded. "Nice to meet ya, Trunks. I'm Caliaf." Caliaf motioned
into the forest. They walked in as the sun fully set behind Terror Mountain.
And with that, Trunks began his journey into an unknown world.
