The other day I was bored, as usual, seeing as I have no life outside of NeoPets.
I went about my daily things: played and fed my pets, collected my daily freebies,
and checked up on my guild. Then I thought, “Now what?” I mean, I’ve been playing
NeoPets for 18 months now, and I consider myself a successful player. I have
Neopoints, four wonderful happy pets, a NeoHome, a shop, and I am a council
member in an awesome guild. What more could I want?
That was my problem. I didn’t know what I should do next. Personally, I am
not a games person. I just can’t get the hang of most of them. I am clueless
when it comes to the Battledome, and I have an Usuki and Keyring collection.
I realised I was becoming bored with my beloved NeoPets! So I thought of what
I could do. My reason for this article, for the people that have become successful
and need some spice in their Neopian lives.
Well, two words for you: SET GOALS! I just set a goal to get an even better
NeoHome. I didn’t want to spend that much on furniture when I started, so now
I’m updating with better things for my NeoHome. I’m going to upgrade my options,
and possibly build a few new rooms. A few goals you might aim for:
1. While I may not be good at games, you might be. Practice at a game
you are good at and try to get in the High Score table. If you’ve already done
this, try it at a game you’re not so good at.
2. Make a collection of whatever. Usukis and Tombola items are popular,
but try to think of an original one. My friend VWPets collects Fuzzles. Try
garden items, or certain pet-related items.
3. Make a fabulous NeoHome. If you already have one, make it better.
Upgrade to the highest extension options and get good furniture and lots of
it. Make it so that it is a place you would actually want to live.
4. Make your pet(s) really really strong, and battle off all opponents.
I don’t really want my pets to fight; my strongest pet is strong from the lab
ray. Which brings me to another good goal…
5. Try and collect all the maps. It’s challenging sometimes to find
that certain piece, and you get a good reward usually. If you’ve already done
this, then do it again and compare your prizes (why, I don’t know. I need an
excuse here, hmm… get back to me on that).
6. A common goal: create a successful guild. Design it towards your
interests or towards just hanging around and talking. Set a goal number of members
and see if you can accomplish that. Keep raising that number until you are happy
with your guild.
7. Well, write (or draw) something for The Neopian Times. If you are
artistic, draw a comic and see how many weeks in a row you can get published.
Writers can submit a short or multi-part story or an article (like this one).
Make it original and interesting. I usually get Neomails regarding things when
I submit them, mostly good. If you write a multi-part story, make sure not to
give away the ending or it won’t be much fun.
Well, I hoped I helped you jazz up you online lives. If you accomplish your
goal(s?), Neomail me! I’d like to hear from you and learn about your finished
goal. So go out there and make your Neopian life more exciting (if it isn’t
already)! |
