"Come on, people!" Jublet boomed, "We can't give up now!"
"We just were thrown out the window of the PetPets store and swept down the
path," Chacha groaned, "And the worst thing is, they did it so easily! No effort."
"It's so unfair," Klik wept, "Just because we're small, they hate us."
"Jublet's right, though," Queegon backed him up, "We have to
fight back! For the joy of all Jubjubs! For the cheerfulness of Chias! For the
contentment of Kikos! And most of all the quality of life for Quiggles!"
"Yeah!" said Jublet.
"YEAH!" repeated Klik and Chacha.
"Save the little people!"
"SAVE US!"
It was now ten minutes later. "What shall we do, then?" said Klik.
"I'm taking control of this situation," said Queegon, firmly, "And I declare...
WAR! Brutal, merciless, unforgiving war!"
"YEAH!" shouted all.
"Now," he continued, "Jublet, I want you to get a rock supply. Go go go! Chacha,
gather me all the sticks you can. Klik--"
"Yes, sir?"
"Get me the Soldier Usuki Doll. I need some clothes, man!"
Everyone rushed off in different directions. Queegon began to draw up some
blueprints for their "weapon". Only he knew what it would be right
now. He sent everyone back inside.
"We aren't weaklings? Are we, soldiers?"
"Sir, no, sir!"
"Do we all have powers?"
"Sir, yes we do, sir!"
"This is my plan," Queegon said, throwing back the cover on his drawing.
Everyone's jaws dropped. "Yes, it's good, I know. Observe. This is a large
wooden tower on wheels, Chacha, we need much more wood. Here you see two large
sticks, and a rubber band."
"Like a slingshot, sir?" Klik asked.
"Yes, Klik. Also, here is a supply of stones. More stones, Jublet. Here
is your commander--me--and you lot behind me. Now, between the catapult and
us, you will see a large magnifying glass--I'll get that for us. What we have
to do it pull back the loaded catapult and focus our powers through the magnifying
glass onto the stone, then let go, and BANG!"
Klik jumped.
"Wow, Queegon, you are smarter than we thought," Chacha squealed, excited,
"You're our hero."
"One more thing. Until I say so, you must call me Commander. Now go!"
It took weeks gathering sticks, then tying them together with bits of string
- but the effect was brilliant. The tower was perfect. Now Queegon attached
the catapult and the magnifying glass to the top, and ta-da!
"We are so going to kick their..." started Jublet.
"Yes, Jublet," Queegon interrupted, "Neotroops, we are ready to go!"
The troops ran up to the top of the tower enthusiastically, quivering with
half-fear half-determination. They all took their positions and were ready.
Nothing happened.
"Um, Commander?" Jublet inquired.
"Yes, soldier?"
"We're not moving."
"All right, all right, I'm coming." Queegon sighed. He rolled up the sleeves
of his army clothes and began to push. The troops shrugged at each other and
got ready for battle.
As the tall tower bumped up and down into the town, NeoPets began to notice
it. They chattered and rushed to see what it was.
"NeoPets one and all!" came the voice from the tower, "For years
you have discriminated against us. Fools, you think size has anything to do
with personality? We didn't want to do this, but we have to take action to show
you how powerful us, 'Little people' really are! Fire at will!"
The NeoPets looked astonished, and crouched down with fear. Baby NeoPets went
running, Shop owned hid behind their counters, expecting something like an apocalypse.
Eventually, they stood up. There was no firing. The NeoPets began to laugh!
Laugh crazily! Pointing and jeering, just like always.
"AMBUSH!" shouted Queegon.
Suddenly stones began to fire every second--flaming, glowing stones, striking
the ground, burning holes in it! The NeoPets ran off screaming, as the NeoPets
took their turn of laughing.
"We showed them!" shouted Jublet.
"YEAH!" Klik rejoiced.
The troops came down from the tower cheering madly. They all hugged and picked
up Queegon on their shoulders. Just as they were turning back, though...
Here they came. The NeoPets were fighting back. They looked like their eyes
were flaming. They used their powers and they did not stop, firing with fury,
driving the little people way back, running madly towards their cave again.
And unlike before, they followed them.
They came to the cave and rolled a rock right over the door, welding it shut
with their abilities. Our heroes were locked in... maybe... forever?
