Petpet Name: Fortuna
Owner: mudiikip
Pet Name: Mudiego
Breed: Snicklebeast

About Fortuna :
Just another night like any other. There was fog everywhere, like you expect there to be in Neovia. Suddenly a Petpet came running from a house, looking sort of panicked.

"Hey, what's wrong little one?" I said after a quick move to prevent it from escaping.

"Graaaaa!!!" It was a Snicklebeast, probably the smallest one I had ever seen.

"Now, calm down... easy easy..." Once I had her in my arms, I looked in the direction of the house, curious about what could have made the little one run off like that.

"Let's see what made you so scared, right?" As I got closer to the house, she got more anxious.

"Gragra... rag.." She didn't seem to be so happy about going back into the house.

A quick push on the door, and it opened. The whole house had a very sinister look; the air was heavy, and you could almost hear someone laughing in the distance.

"Somebody ther--", but I was suddenly interrupted by a body, falling from the second floor and stopping in mid-air.

"GOOOOOOD!!! You found my Fortunaaaaaa, thanks a loooooot," said a ghost Kacheek with an ear-to-ear smile. I was in shock; I knew there were many ghosts in Neovia, but I never thought I'd see one THIS close.

"Wh-who... what are you?"
"Pfft, I'm her owner, silly." She seemed to be able to pick up the Petpet, but once it had completely left my hands, it fell on the floor.

"Graaaah!!" groaned the Snicklebeast, and the Petpet dashed into what seemed to be a kitchen.

"Booo, come here my pretty furball, oooooh... I know you want to play hide-and-seek, right? Teehee, as you wish!" And the ghost completely disappeared, ignoring my presence. I felt an urge to see what was going on and made my way into an old and empty room, avoiding all Spyder webs.

"Erm... Snicklebeast? " She was hiding underneath a small table. "Oh, I'm glad you're safe." I started walking into her direction. "I was afraid that ghost had gotten yo--"

"BOOOOO!!!!" shouted the ghost, now coming out of the floor.

"AAAAAH!!" I cried.

"GRAAH!!" groaned the Snicklebeast. The two of us almost fell down as the ghost started laughing.

"Heeey! That's not nice to do to your Petpet! She doesn't seem to like it!"

"Eh, I think we're doing just fine... right, Fortuna? "

As soon as the ghost got close to the Snicklebeast, the Petpet ran in my direction, looking for protection.

"Erm, you know, mister ... miss... erm... ghost, I think your Petpet deserves a little more caring and less attempts to make her scared. If you treat her nicely, I'm sure she'll be able to play hide-and-seek with you." I picked the Petpet up in my arms and handed it to her, since it was hers whether I liked it or not. She seemed to have taken my advice into consideration.

"Yeah... well, I think I can give it a try. It would be nice if our games lasted more than the first round." The ghost Kacheek took the Snicklebeast from my arms, but this time it (strangely) didn't fall to the ground. She cradled the little creature.

"So... can you give me a second chance? We can play it nicely this time, right, Forty?"

The Petpet seemed a bit afraid, but it looked a bit more comfortable to get close to her.

"Gra... gragra." From the Snicklebeast's expression, I was sure it meant something on the lines of "yeah, right." Even with all of their problems, she seemed to really love her owner. The two smiled, and a few seconds later the ghost disappeared once more, and the Snicklebeast left to hide herself.

Once more, the house seemed creepy. The whole room seemed a bit darker, and, feeling a little uneasy, I left the place. But I felt different, because I knew that small action had saved that owner-Petpet relationship.
