In the middle of the Main Shops Map stands the Money
Tree overshadowing the Rainbow Pool. Under the green leaves of the Money
Tree is a hoard of assorted items and Neopoints. But this is no Snowager's lair.
For Neopians can give and take freely from this plant.
I am not a frequent visitor of the Money Tree obviously because I have more
than two thousand Neopoints. But I visit occasionally to donate some items and
Neopoints.
I have noticed that a few items are favourites to donate to the Money Tree.
These include Tombola booby prizes and gross food. I believe that the reason
for this is that people just cannot bother with those worthless prizes that
they receive on Tombola, you can't sell them, you can't eat them, and so you
just donate 'em.
There seems to be some problem that people like to donate Neopoints in ones
and twos. I don't know about the rest of Neopia but I figured that you must
be rather desperate to take it. But again, it free right?
Then there are ghosts, they steal your Neopoints and put them on the tree.
Alternatively, they steal the tree's Neopoints and the NeoPet's Staff know what
they do with them.
It seems that whenever you go to the Money Tree, there always seems to be
one kind soul dutifully donating for a few minutes. I have noticed one particular
one when I was at the Money Tree once, who, I noticed, was a 'Donator' in her
guild, of which I will not mention for her privacy, when I checked her user
lookup.
If you are generous, or like above, entrusted with a role to donate to the
Money Tree by your guild, you would give. The festive season is always the best
time to give. St. Pat's day last year, NeoPets had people giving out lots of
green stuff at the Money Tree. I bet this encouraged lots more people to give
at the Money Tree!
Christmas is, of course, the best time to give. At this time of the year,
guild from all over Neopia specially donate items and definitely un-meager amounts
of Neopoints to the Money Tree. I remember Christmas last year, I donated 24,000
Neopoints to the tree in 10 NP denominations to the Money Tree after a wonderfully
successful sale. Boy it felt good. It always does.
So what are you waiting for? Go to the Bank, withdraw some Neopoints and head
towards the Money Tree and start donating! I can assure you that you are doing
someone somewhere in Neopia a great favour. |
