A long, long time ago, when all the NeoPets were living in a Neopia without
fear, an ancient Nimmo oracle came and blessed a Neobabe called Ryshu. The ancient
oracle told that a powerful and evil force will come to the Neoworld and destroy
it. The prophecy was:
In a land of fun
There will come a time, when everyone shall run
From a almighty force of corruption
Far it comes to seek destruction.
When all hope is lost and gone
A new hero will rise up and on.
A great warrior shall stand tall
But if be not wary, thee shall fall.
Now Ryshu
was an adventurous, daring and courageous Nimmo. Ryshu did not know of the prophecy
at all. He was just another ordinary Nimmo boy who was training at the Island
Training School under the great Techo Master. Ryshu was learning all types of
things, how to read the stars, how to leap as high as the tallest trees and
to use the special Nimmo ability, Nimmo levitate. The old master knew of the
prophecy and kept an eye on Ryshu, for Ryshu was learning faster and accomplished
a lot better than the other students. Ryshu was always attentive and took his
master's wise sayings seriously. One day in the park a bully Skeith named Bigbones
Skeitho picked a fight with Ryshu. Knowing that fighting is not only bad, but
that someone could get hurt, Ryshu ignored the pushes and shoves. Then Skeitho
threw a punch at Ryshu and Ryshu grabbed his fist instinctively and twisted
it the way it should not twist. Now we all know that bullies have little wannabe
bully friends.
Well, when those wannabes saw their leader get hurt, they all pounced on Ryshu.
Ryshu swiftly use the Nimmo Levitate ability and left all the Skeiths sprawling
on the moist ground of Mystery Island. The master saw this and scolded Ryshu,
but on the inside he was glad that Ryshu accomplished a great feat of defending
himself against many bullies. The old Techo Master soon realised that Ryshu
was too far ahead to stay in his classes. That was when the Techo Master told
Ryshu that he should wander the Neoworld and learn as much as he can, for a
great terror hit the Neoworld and Ryshu should destroy it. Then the old Techo
Master told Ryshu of the prophecy. Ryshu packed some provisions, a jug of water,
his two Nimmo Throwing Stars and his Nimmo Power Staff.
That night a great comet hit the Neoworld in the Haunted Woods and a great
green cloud covered all of the Neoworld. Only the wraiths and ghouls knew about
it. They all bowed down before the hideous creature that lay asleep on the earth
of the Neoworld. There was a shattering scream from the wraiths and ghouls once
the strange creature awoke from its sleep. The creature had used its Toxic Roar
ability and instantly destroyed them…
In the morning, the Island Fortuneteller warned people of the dangers ahead
of Neopia and the Neoworld, but no one would heed his warning. Except for the
few that knew the prophecy, everyone lived as if they did not know about the
danger.
During Ryshu's travels, he learned many navigational skills from the academy
at Krawk Island. He learned how to survive with little food and scarce water
in the Lost Desert. He asked for wisdom at Coltzan's Shrine, and Coltzan blessed
him with wisdom. He learned of grace and sacrifice at Faerieland 10,000 miles
above Neopia. The Faerie Queen gave him the endurance to survive the great battle,
for the faeries all knew of the horrific monster. Ryshu trained hard, became
very strong, and fast at Tyrannia from Sabre-X and the Grand Elder Kyrii. Ryshu
did not understand why everyone wanted to help him to become a legendary warrior.
He was grateful to everyone who helped him become wise and strong. Now Ryshu
was a strong and swift warrior!
Ryshu went wandering into the Haunted Woods to ask Edna the witch to teach
him some magic. Could not find her and walked into the deepest part of the woods
deep in thought.
"Gee, I wonder where Edna went to…" Thought Ryshu, " I'm positive she would
be home a this time."
Ryshu was deep in thought when he accidentally walked into a gigantic cave.
He looked around himself and saw nothing but darkness as black as pitch. From
somewhere in the cave he heard a sizzling and saw a green light. He pulled out
his Nimmo Power Staff and used it as a cane to see if anything was in front
of him as a blind person does. After exhausting hours of walking in darkness
with only the green light to guide him, he came upon the great form of a gigantic
green snake that emitted a green glow and heat. This figure looked much like
the Snowager
Ryshu met in the Ice Caves, but it looked evil, unlike the Snowager. The sleeping
form of the great snake lured his curious mind to get closer to it. Just then
the great green eyes of it opened and whipped its body up as a giant Cobrall
does when it is in an attack position.
The great snake bellowed, "Who dare enter my cave?!?!?!" The cave shook in
the great vibrations of the voice.
Ryshu mustered his courage and said in a bold voice, "It is I, Ryshu of Mystery
Island!"
At this the great creature laughed and replied in a mocking voice, " Yesss,
and I am the GLOWAGER!"
Ryshu was puzzled when those words came out of the Glowager's mouth. He asked,
"Are you related to the Snowager?"
The reply was, "Are you a fool? Of courssse I am!"
Ryshu responded, "What is your reason for coming to our world?"
The Glowager responded, "TO DESTROY IT!"
With that, the Glowager dived toward Ryshu. Ryshu swiftly leapt to the side
and gave the Glowager a blow to its head but the Nimmo Power Staff snapped in
half in his hands. In the Glowager's fury, it snapped at Ryshu and drove him
further into the cave. Ryshu was desperate and lunged at the Glowager and started
beating at it with his fists. The Glowager wrapped its body around Ryshu and
squeezed tightly like a python. Ryshu commanded himself to concentrate on what
he learned and to ignore the pain. Finally, it clicked in Ryshu's head. Ryshu
remembered the incident on the Island with the bullies. He instantly used his
ability Nimmo Levitate to throw off the great Glowager but it had no effect.
He commanded himself once more to draw the energy from all his training into
his ability. He used the Nimmo Levitate and prevailed. The Glowager was flung
from Ryshu's body and crashed onto the ground. The whole cave shook and Ryshu
feared the cave would implode, but fortunately, it did not. The Glowager got
up and instantly dived at Ryshu. Ryshu remembered he had Nimmo Throwing Stars
and grabbed them from his belt. He threw them with all his might at the Glowager.
The Throwing Stars ripped straight through the Glowager and it crashed to the
ground. Ryshu was surprised at first at what he had done; he had just destroyed
another NeoCreature! Then Ryshu realised that it was for the good of Neopia
and the Neoworld and was amazed with the great feat he accomplished. The green
cloud vanished and he wept in joy.
He returned to Mystery Island's training school to tell his master of his accomplishments.
The old Techo Master lay sick in bed with MTD, muscular tail disease. Ryshu
was terrified at the sight, he rushed to his master's bed and started to weep
by his master's side. The old Techo Master said, "Don't cry great warrior. Have
you destroyed the evil?"
"Yes, wise master, I have." Ryshu was still weeping.
"Why of course you have... I have been silly, I should have known…" Techo Master
muttered to himself. " I knew I did a little too many meditation sessions on
my tail." The Techo Master chuckled and so did Ryshu.
"Now I know the world is save from evil I shall finally rest in peace…"
Ryshu was silent.
"I wish you would do me a favour… Could you teach at the old Training School?"
The Techo Master asked in a husky voice. " My time is nearly here. I am off
to a better place you know!"
Ryshu spoke in a soft voice, "Of course I will keep the old Training
School running."
And from that day on, Ryshu ran the Training School. But Ryshu always held
the memory of the old Techo Master.
