Al's Halloween by Al_the_Chia | |
It was Halloween night in Furgleton. Little Chias skipped along happily from
door to door, yelling for candy. A far-off Lupe in Lupe Forest howled at the
moon, giving the dimly lit streets a spooky feel as Al the Chia and Fluffy the
Cobrall walked (and slithered) down the foggy street. Al's eyes lit up he heard
the sound. He paused, adjusted his delicately knit WereLupe costume, as well
as his glasses. "Fluffy!! A howl!!" He stopped for a moment, cupping a hand
to a false Lupe ear and calculating the noise. "That was a female fire Lupe
calling for her pups!!" he announced. Fluffy, who was clad in a Usuki Cowboy
Hat, slithered far behind, muttering in a hissed voice. "Oh, come on Fluffy!"
Al picked up his Lupe tail, peering into his candy bag. "You look fine. Everyone
is supposed to wear a costume." Fluffy glared at his owner menacingly. Al sighed,
popping some Candy
Peas into his mouth. "It's either this or the Faerie Usuki Glamour Set,
okay?" Fluffy recoiled in horror, nodding. "Good. Now, we visited Old Lady Mckinny,
Vinnie, Griffin, Phil... AHA! We have yet to visit Harold down in Haunted Forest!!"
Fluffy's eyes widened. "What? It's just a couple miles! We can take the car
if you're really that lazy." Al rattled his candy, skipping down the street,
tail bouncing behind him. Fluffy started to slither behind, but suddenly noticed
a strange looking coin lying on the street. He glared at it, studying it carefully.
It seemed safe, so he swept it into his hat with his tail. Placing the hat and
the treasure back onto his head, he bounced to catch up with his owner.
Haunted Woods.
Dark and Spooky. Although it was Halloween, it was hard to see any other pets
within the woods. Al's blue jeep pulled up by a large tree. He smiled as he
jumped out of the car, candy bag in hand. "Just a few trees down the path and
we'll be swimming in candy!!" Fluffy hopped out, jumping onto his owner's costumed
head. He snuggled into the false Lupe ears comfortably as his owner marched
into spooky forest, wielding a glowing flashlight.
Al grinned, dragging the packed bag along the ground. "Harold gives the motherload!"
His bag was stuffed full of a large assortment of new candy and toys from the
recent visit to Harold's house. "Now we can go home and take a rest!" Fluffy
yawned, still seated on his owner's head. They started down the dark path. It
was dead silent, all except for Al whistling happily. It was calm for the first
few minutes. Suddenly, there was a rustle in the bushes. Al paused, shining
his flashlight onto the bush. The rustling stopped. Nothing there. His eyes
turned to the trees above. Nothing. He shrugged it off. He started whistling
again, and continued down the road. More bushes nearby rustled again, this time
with a low, hoarse moan. Al's eyes widened as he shone the flashlight onto the
bush. Fluffy nearly jumped off his head as he heard the noise. Nothing there.
He blinked, shaking, before starting to whistle slowly. He took each step carefully,
preparing to run. Suddenly, the bushes in front of him parted. Al screamed in
horror as a cute, pinkish creature hopped out. Al nearly fell over laughing.
"Fluffy, it's just a... a... a cute bunnyish thing!" He giggled, staring at it.
The bunny twitched its nose, its adorable eyes gazing at them. "Aww, isn't
it cute?" Al cooed. Fluffy stared at it. It stared at Fluffy. Suddenly, the
gaze turned into a glare. "Hm..." Al looked at it. "Why is it staring at us like
that?" It just kept on staring, all the while its cute little nose twitching.
Al recoiled, starting to feel uncomfortable. "Eheh... well, nice little, erm,
whatever... we'll just be leaving now." Al slid away slowly, the creature still
staring at him. He started off slowly, then broke into a run as the creature
disappeared from sight. Al jumped out of Spooky Forest, gasping. "Whew... that
was close!" Al walked along, Fluffy rigid on top of his head. "Well, we escaped
that... that thing. And now we have all the candy we'll need for the rest of
our life!" Fluffy relaxed as they reached the car. They jumped into the front
seats, laughing as they drooled over their candy hoard. They never noticed the
little pink bunny sitting in the back.
Al pulled up in front of his house. Fluffy had fallen asleep on top of his
head. "Home again." He walked up the path, nearly dragging his bulging candy
bag. The Bad Seeds in Al's garden were asleep, twitching and snapping in their
dreams. Al arrived at the front door. But suddenly, as he was pulling out his
keys, he heard a rustling sound. He whirled around. There was the pink bunny
creature. And it was right at the end of the path. It started to hop up the
path towards Al, still glaring. Al screamed, nearly dropping the candy. Fluffy
jerked awake from his perch on Al's head, screeching as he saw it too. It jumped
along, getting closer and closer to Al. "Piffle piffle piffle... COME ON, OPEN!"
Al jammed the key into the lock, his hands shaking. It hopped closer, it's cute
eyes fixated on them. "OPEN!!!" Al finally threw open the door, slamming it
behind him and nearly on the creature's face. "We made it...." He breathed a sigh
of relief, failing to notice the look of horror on Fluffy's face. He suddenly
felt his head start to tremble. "What's up Fluffy?" He looked up. Fluffy was
shaking. He pointed a rigid, trembling tail downwards. Al looked down. There
it was. Staring up at them. "AIEEEEE!!" Al kicked it away, dashing into his
Library. Fluffy fell off of Al's head, collected himself, and bouncing up the
stairs. The creature lay stunned on the floor, twitching.
Al was about to hide behind his massive bookshelf when he noticed a book he
had been reading, which was lying on his desk. It was on PetPets. "Wha?" The
strange creature that was attacking them was on the cover! Al threw open the
book. "Meep-it... a Spooky PetPet. Has the unusual make up of a cute, pink little
bunny, but has a creepy, gaping stare." Al closed the book. The Meep-it was
right in front of him, sitting on the desk, and staring. He knocked over a pile
of books as he scrambled out of his library. "OH PIIIIIIIIIIIIFUUUUUUUUUUL!!!"
He bellowed, before tripping over his fake tail and knocking himself out.
Fluffy shivered as he curled into a little ball. He was cleverly hidden in
Al's closet. Fluffy ripped off his hat, hissing angrily. Suddenly, the coin
he had found earlier bounced onto his nose. Fluffy stared at it, mystified.
It appeared to have a little symbol on it....
Al woke up a while later. "Ow, my head." He got up, his vision blurred. "Huh?"
He saw a lot of blurred pink. His glasses had fallen off. Reaching into his
Lupe costume, he pulled out his spare glasses. "AAA!" He let out a stifled cry
as he saw it. Hundreds of the little Meep-its were gathered around Al. Their
noses all twitched, and they all had their piercing look, right on Al. That
creepy, unsettling stare from a million eyes, all piercing his trembling form.
Al grabbed his synthetic tail, clutching it like a blanket. "Wha-wha-what do
you want from me?" He cried. They simply stared at him. "Is it the candy? I
have plenty to share if it's the candy." They didn't move an inch. None of them
even blinked. "Uh... Okaaaaaaay."
Fluffy burst out of the closet. He hissed as he dashed into the kitchen, the
coin clutched in his mouth. "Fluffy?" Al turned around to see his Cobrall. "Fluffy,
what are you doing? There are way too many of them!" Fluffy threw the coin up
in the air. The Meep-its all went berserk. "MEEP MEEP MEEP MEEP MEEP!!" They
all jumped for the coin at once. Suddenly, there was a brilliant flash of gold
light. Al tumbled over, and Fluffy was blown into the wall. The light faded,
and the Meep-its were gone.
Al blinked. "What happened?" He looked around. Not one trace of the Meep-its
where left. "Hm... I guess they were after that coin." He looked at Fluffy. "Fluffy,
where did you steal that thing?" Fluffy shrugged. He slithered out of the room
and buried himself into Al's candy bag. Al sighed. Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it...." Al picked up a bowl of candy and went to the door, preparing
for Trick or Treaters. He threw open the door. "All right, would you like chocolate
or..." He froze, dropping the candy. "Trick or Treat!!" Three little Halloween
Chias where lined up by the door, holding out candy bags, with three little
Meep-its perched on their shoulders. The Meep-its all glared at Al. "MEEEEEEP!!!"
Happy Halloween :)
