How Much Is That Avatar In The Window? -- Part Two: Titles

So. Anyway, NeoTitles. In the words of my friend (the Kougra-obsessed one) "Neotitles are really cool because they can say your favorite pet and your dream hobby all in one, if you're as lucky as I am."

In the last installment, we discussed Avatars (see issue 107). Expect to see some of the same phrases as last time.

Pet Species

One of the reasons I started with this is my Kougra-obsessed friend -- a Kougra Crusader. She knows who she is. Also, since we started off with Pet Species Avatars last time, it's only fitting that we begin with Pet themed things this time as well...

Actually, these NeoTitles go into a little more depth than the avatars do... For example, 'Intriguing Ixi'. Little better than just a picture of an Ixi's head (where's it's body anyway?), and the word 'Ixi'. But only a little. Then there are the ones that show that you like to battle pets (Scorchio Warrior, Charging Chia and the like), and those that, well, i.e. 'Lupes pwn you.' That shows you don't know how to spell. There are the ones that say you are a servant ('Drudging Draik'), and those that show that you like to pretend you are a NeoPet ('Poogle Pretender'). Then, of course, there are the species with multiple NeoTitles ('Zafaras rock my sox' and 'Zippy Zafara'). Then there are the obvious ones. 'Buzzing Buzz'. Well, d'oh!

Obsessions/Devotions

We leave our Pet NeoTitles for those that are... slightly more interesting. No, less interesting. No, more interesting... oh, well. Those that are different.

Those like 'Quester for Illusen' and 'Quester for Jhudora'. And then, of course, those that declare which side you were on, or are on ('Darigan Minion', 'Meridell Knight'). And then, we have those that are 'Forever Searching Shops', and 'Shopaholic'. 'Money Tree Munchkin' is another rather good one... however, it may bring to mind the Soup Faerie avatar, so be cautious!

'Your Life' Ones

Okay, so maybe that wasn't the best title for this section... oh well. These are ones that show what you do, or aim to do on Neopets.

Examples first. 'Pet Rescuer' 'Role Play Master' 'Book Fanatic' 'Training For Life', etc. These are the ones that show your obsessions -- just like the ones above, only those show... well, I'm not quite sure myself what the difference is. If you know, please tell me! Okay. So, these show what you do, or aim to do. Oh wait -- I said that before. Anyway, if you train all your pets constantly? Try 'Training for Life'. If you RP all day, without a thought for your pets, or Neopoints? 'Role Play Master'. Trying for the Neopian Book Award? 'Book Fanatic'. There are tons -- I'm sure there is one that fits your needs. If there isn't... well, try another goal. So! Anyway! That's about it for this section... next up? N00b/Not a n00b!

N00b-ish Ones

There are actually only two in this category... so why make a new category? Well, because they don't fit in anywhere else. So!

There are two: 'N00b' and 'I'm NOT a N00B!' The most common uses:(yes, I do know I'm sounding like the last article) N00b: Most commonly used by those who have been on NeoPets for over a year. Not that being a n00b has anything to do with being new...

I'm NOT a N00B! Used by those under 1 week, for proof that they, unlike others of their time, are not n00bs. So... right. Next!

'Themed' Ones

'Themed' ones are the ones such as 'Uuuuuuusuki!' and 'Usuki Crazy'. Actually... they are... the only ones. Okay!

Used by those who like Usuki. Is there anything else to say?

Battler Ones

This category includes many that are also in other categories. 'Tax Beast Hunter' 'Scorchio Warrior', etc.

Once agai n-- to sound like the Avatar article -- the name implies Battlers. And you know what? That is correct! So... okay.

Weird Ones

Weird ones are fun! I usually use one of them...

This is probably the biggest category --, which is why I will list them all!

Deranged But Fun
Why do some pets glow?
Dung... fertilizer or furniture?
Sorry, I don't exist!
Don't touch my plushies!
Sneezles, Neezles and Lumps
Poogledy, Boogledy, Boop
Gambling isn't addictive...
Ummm... NO!

Okay so... maybe there aren't THAT many... but still!

Yay! Finally, I got through an article with no sign of apes OR baby Neopets... oops. *Tromping of feet* Oh no... I can't tell which are apes and which are harmless baby Neopets in the dark! -fumbles for light switch- AAAAH!!! They're ALL apes! No, wait... it's... the NeoPets team!!!! They're attacking... oh no.

AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!
