Long ago in a land far, far away, there lived a small country of peace-loving jelly beans. The jelly beans worked hard from morning to night in their dust plantations hidden away from the clutches of the evil King Meeper III in the bordering country of Jelaton. The jelly beans were a happy lot who didn't have much, but all they did have was freely given to those in need. The jelly beans praised Fyora daily for their protection while constantly in remorse, for they seemingly could do nothing to save their brethren the gum drops from the unreasonable taxes imposed upon them and the dungeons which were made of old holiday stockings, holding many of them captive against their will. The wrath of King Meeper III knew no bounds, and soon he imposed a new tax on the poor inhabitants of the country of Jelaton. A tax known as the glucose tax, whereby any and all grains of sugar must be delivered up unto the king lest he gobble them up entirely and abandon their race to extinction.

Neighboring families of jelly beans heard the news and their hearts were all but bursting, for many of the gumdrop families were very poor indeed and had no sugar to give to their king. Indeed, the gumdrops and jelly beans did work together, to bring together all the sugar they could find, and when it was all sacrificed to the cause and gathered in one big mount to be counted, it turned up that they were still lacking. The date of the collection was to be the next morning, and there was much weeping for what was to come. As a last resort, the mayor of the jelly beans sent a flock of flighty dust bunny messengers by air to places untraveled by candy or baked good to find help.

Then came the morning.

As the first rays of light descended on the plain, so came the petpetpet goons of King Meeper III. They tromped their way through the villages toward the great, though not-great-enough, pile of sugar, and as they were about to encompass it there came a brilliant light that spread across the countryside. The light was fabled to have reached even the borders of the land of the gingerbread cookies of the east. Dust bunnies flew this way and that in majestic triumph, and from somewhere amidst the light came a voice. It was a little voice, but it pierced the comprehension of all who heard it. The great petpetpet goons and many gumdrops fell to the earth, being overcome with wonder. Even the great King Meeper III fled the moment the great cabinet was opened.

And the voice said:

"Hey, look! My Halloween candy from two years ago! Neat!"

The citizens rejoiced exceedingly and praised the little lupe, for he had saved them all. There was much celebrating, and after one of them was taken to a higher plane, the little lupe said something about the exceeding amount of dust, and the great cabinet door was shut once again. From there ever after, the jelly beans and gumdrops lived together with peace and happiness for one and all.
