A Night Out at the Tyrannian Concert Hall

by elyseon

Untitled Document TYRANNIA - A ticket sells for nearly 600 NP. That one ticket is admission to the most glorious event at the Tyrannian Concert Hall, the best concert hall in all of Neopia. Bands such as the country 2 Gallon Hats and rock & roll Sticks 'N Stones come to play at the Hall. Many concert goers, however, are reluctant to stretch their meager National Neopian Bank accounts to go to such a pricey occasion. I am also reluctant to let Skalpo the Techo (owner) or the bands cheat anyone out of their NP.

I know everything about these bands. I can tell you what 2 Gallon Hat's Chuffer Tex's mum calls him and why M*YNCI's Lumpee B is afraid of Red Grarrl Plushies. I can also tell you that whenever the Blue Kacheek Group eats at a restaurant they specifically ask for a specially made low-fat menu. (They like keeping their figures in shape.) I can tell you this because I'm a devoted concert fanatic and critic - elyseon the groupie.

The following reviews each and every band that has ever come to the Tyrannian Concert Hall, and ones that return as well. You will never ever think the same of these bands again.

Band name: 2 Gallon Hatz

Fun Fact: Peggie Sue Percival was a model for the Clothes Shop

Best Song(s): "Frost Cannon Battledome Blues"

Vocals: Thick and sweet

Music: Knee-bouncing country rhythms with banjo and drums

Performance: Supple, yet meager stage settings

Sound Quality: Efficient

Overall: 3/5 - Something to square dance to

Best Song(s): "Raining Lupes" and "Breaking Free"

Vocals: None

Band name: Chomby and the Fungus Balls

Fun Fact: Chomby's marking on his body is actually a washable tattoo.

Best Song(s): "Whoo!"

Vocals: Repetitively annoying

Music: Fun, oldies pop flashback

Performance: Energetic and colorful (Fungus Balls)

Sound Quality: Low-key; Chomby sounds like he's whispering if you sit in the back seats

Overall: 2/5 - If it wasn't for the Fungus Balls and instrumentals Chomby would be nothing

Band name: Jazzmosis

Fun Fact: Jazzmosis' Elephante uses his own trunk to create sounds

Best Song(s): ANYTHING! (Literally and not a song)

Vocals: Soulful and deep

Music: The air instrument players rule the stage

Performance: Scenery is a timeless black-and-white; half-way through the show you might fall asleep to the jazzy tunes

Sound Quality: Just right

Overall: 4/5 - A show to enjoy by yourself or with your sweetheart

Band name: Moehawkz

Fun Fact: Red Star the Moehog stowed away into a record producer's suitcase to show him their demo tape

Best Song(s): "The Truth," "Zig and zag," and "Boom"

Vocals: Occasional screaming, yelling into the mic; unbelievably amazing

Music: Electric guitar, keyboard, and drums complete them

Performance: Head-bopping and mosh worthy

Sound Quality: I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

Overall: 5/5 - Lighting DOES strike!

Band name: M*YNCI

Fun Fact: Their first gig was at a birthday party for Queen Fyora

Best Song(s): None

Best Song(s): None

Band name: Wock 'Til You Drop

Fun Fact: Ice the Wocky froze himself to live up to his name

Best Song(s):

Vocals: Miserable

Music: Haunting

Performance: Depressing and everyone looks as if they needed a good cry

Sound Quality: Great

Overall: 1/5 - I dropped (The one point is for Ice the Wocky. He looks funny in the ice block...)

Band name: Yes Boy Ice Cream

Fun Fact: Ricky the Blue Shoyru and Jason the Red Shoyru are fraternal twins

Best Song(s): "Flying in the Sky" and "Mortog Kisser" (just about anything)

Vocals: Pleasant and youthful

Music: Techo and dance beats make you boogie at the first sound!

Performance: Great special effects and lighting; definite eye candy

Sound Quality: Okay

Overall: 5/5 - I'm going again!

Once in a while you will find a jewel among all those bands. I myself had the opportunity to meet up with each and every band members who has ever come to the Tyrannian Concert Hall. I WILL reveal that M*YNCI does not look as great up close and that the Grarrl from Jazzmosis is two times taller than any normal-sized Grarrl! This review was not biased as I do indeed love all types of music. It was fairly given and I did attempt to appreciate all aspects of the performances. I hope I have saved your time and money from the NP guzzlers. Have fun!

A Neopian Web Design Treatise: On Text
Choosing the right font can be as important, if not more so, than choosing the right images and colours for your site. Despite this, however, it is a topic often ignored in favour of more "interesting" or "artistic" aspects of web design.
