NeoCircles: Left in the Dust

by tigerlover421

NEOPIA CENTRAL - NeoCircles are a great feature of Neopets, and they have been around for a while. You could consider them lost in time, just like Neopet Diaries. But I don't know why. They are great for getting more traffic to your Web page, shop, guild and other stuff. You can meet people with interests just like yours, and make new Neofriends. There's many great things about NeoCircle, that should be known.

MEET NEW FRIENDS: Using NeoCircles you can meet new people that share interests such as yours, whether your interest is basketball or buying items and selling them for more. And if there isn't a NeoCircle for your interest, you can create one for free! NeoCircles are like icebreakers, you join somebody else's and then you guys can talk!

GET MORE TRAFFIC: You can get more traffic for WHATEVER page you enter. Maybe you join a Cheap Shops NeoCircle, then members of that NeoCircle will check out your shop, and might even buy something! Or you could have a petpage that has never made Site Spotlight, no matter how hard you try, but you still want other's to see your pets page.

NO MAINTAINING: The Owner of the NeoCircle does not have to maintain the NeoCircle regularly like a Guild owner does. Guilds are groups of people with the same interests, but guilds require LOTS of work. NeoCircles are just for fun.

USING YOUR NEOCIRCLE FOR NP: If you join a NeoCircle about cheap shops, obviously People will WANT to go to your "cheap" shop. Then you'll start seeing NP in your shop till! NeoCircles are great for newbies trying to get their shop known around!

THEY'RE FREE: NeoCircles are COMPLETELY free. The owner doesn't have to pay a fee and neither do the members!

That's some things that you can use to your advantage. But I was also wondering why NeoCircles aren't popular around Neopians. I've NEVER seen one in a players shop... except mine, which I took out. I did some research and this is what I came up with.

NO ADVERTISEMENT: The ONLY ways you can get to the NeoCircles without typing in the Web address are by going to the World page (link here) and clicking NeoCircles or by finding a NeoCircle on a Web page Finding a NeoCircle is VERY rare nowadays so you have to go to the World Page, which doesn't have much to do, making the world page unpopular.

NOT EXCITING: As helpful and fun NeoCircles are, they are just plain... erm, can I come out and say it? Boring. You join. You do nothing. Although it is GREAT for everything above, it just doesn't have the participation that guilds have.

NO UPDATES: When was the last time you saw an UPDATE on NeoCircles? They are so basic with nothing TO update! If there were REAL PRIZES and stuff and there was more you could do then just... join then they might become more popular.

So now that you know more about NeoCircles and how helpful they can be, maybe you should go check them out.
