THE MEERCA SIBLINGS
We immediately run out the door, with Uncle Bob yelling something about a bad
choice... he's probably just telling us again how we shouldn't eat too much.
After a couple of hours, we arrive at a ferry. We get on, after paying some
of the 2000 Neopoints we have. It takes us directly to Mystery Island. Immediately,
we run in and out of the Juppie place. We don't know how we did it, but now
we have lots of Juppies. We laugh, they never caught us.
Me: "Jake, we've got trouble."
Jake: "What?"
"Hey! You! Stop right there!"
There are two guards running after us, holding spears and such. One almost
hits us, the rest fall too short. But then, we realise what they did. They just
built A cage of spears, even with a top.
"We got you now, Meerca Bro--wait a second, these aren't the Meerca Brothers!"
Jake: "We just wanted Juppies! *sniff sniff* We're too poor to afford them!"
He starts crying like a baby. Then again, he is a baby!
"Geez, maybe we should let them each have one."
They open the cage, take away the bags, and give us each one. I wink at Jake,
and we swing our tails, and trip the two guards. We grab the bags when they
drop them, and hightail it.
Me: "Wait a second Jake... aren't we doing this backwards?"
Jake: "Huh?"
Me: "Aren't we supposed to smuggle Juppies in and sell them, not smuggle them
out?"
Jake: "I have no idea... it doesn't make sense...."
Me: "Then that means... um... oh well, I'm sure lots of people don't have
Golden Juppies, so they'd like some."
Jake: "Um... OK..."
We get to the customs officer, still a little confused on what we're doing.
He checks our bags, and he checks our bags. I feel queasy, I forgot about this
part....
"What's this... Juppies? Smugglers, are ya?"
Jake: "Uh oh..."
Me: "Um... no, we have special permission from Mumbo Pango!"
I pull out a piece of paper, and he starts reading it. While he reads it,
Jake and I slip onboard the ship, jump into a lifeboat, lower it down, then
row out to Neopia. We can still hear his screams, while we are half way there:
"SMUGGLERS!!!!!!!!!!"
At home, unbeknownst to me....
Ben: "I wonder what's on the news...."
He clicks it on... the news comes up, straight from Mystery Island:
"Today's top story: The Meerca Siblings. Relatives of the Meerca Brothers?
Possibly. They were spotted, no, almost caught Juppie Smuggling, but they did
it backwards. Instead of smuggling Juppies into Mystery Island, they were smuggling
them out. No one knows why, but in the past few hours, many shops all over Neopia
Central received Golden Juppies. They were not confiscated, because it can not
be proven that they are stolen."
Ben: "Hm... I wonder who these Meerca Siblings are...."
"Here is a picture of the Meerca Siblings."
Ben: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
All the other pets ran into the room. "What is it, Uncle Ben?"
Then they look at the picture of Jake and I, and they scream also. Immediately,
Uncle Ben gets a phone call from Jumppalongg and Skippalongg (my stepowner),
Jake and my parents.
Jump: "What is going on, Ben? I leave you with my youngest son, and you let
him become a Juppie Smuggler?"
Ben: "The last thing I remember, they were in their room, grounded!"
Jump: "Did you remember to close the portal?"
Ben: "Uh oh... I'm going to call Chuffer Bob."
Skippie: "You'd better!"
They hang up, and Uncle Ben calls Uncle Bob.
Ben: "What happened, Chuffer Bob?"
Bob: "They took my advice the wrong way."
Ben: "What advice?"
Bob: "I told them to become super heroes, but I didn't mean it!"
Ben: "BOB!!! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO TELL THEM THAT?!?!"
Bob: "If you are counting this time, one hundred and two?"
Ben: "Uh... I didn't actually think you kept count."
