You've heard some tips over and over again, but I found some helpful tips that
no one has ever written about here! Of course, I want to share them with everyone!
Here they are!!!
1. You can resize your pop-up game window!
This is very helpful if a game window seems a bit big for your screen (and much
easier to do than going into My Computer/Control Panel and making the resolution
smaller)!
Here's how to do it:
After a flash game launches into a pop-up window, wait until it finishes loading.
Then, press the "F11" key TWICE (it's on the top row of your keyboard). Now,
if you put your cursor at one of the top corners of the game window, you can
change the size of the window! This helps me a lot when I play Kiko Match because
it takes me less time to click the Kikos when they are smaller! *smile*
2. Save your score if your computer crashes during a Flash game!
If you are getting a good score on one of the Flash games, but suddenly find
you lost your Internet connection - KEEP PLAYING!!! Finish the game, because
you may still be able to get credit for that score and the NP you should earn
from playing it!
Here's how:
Keep playing the game! When you are finally finished playing, minimize your
NeoPets window and the game window (do NOT shut them, just minimize them, or
you will lose the score). Next, reconnect to the Internet. *DO NOT REBOOT! JUST
RECONNECT* (If you reboot, your score and NP earned will be lost...) After
your computer is back online, your score will usually "send" and post, and also
give you the NP you earned for playing! (This method works almost every time
for me, by the way.)
3. Earn the maximum amount of NP a game will allow by knowing the minimum
score required!
Some games can be playing for hours, yet, you will not be able to earn above
a certain amount of NP no matter how long you play! There may be others, but
I know that this applies to Chute and to Ice Cream Factory. If you have a score
of at least 2,000 in Chute, or a score of at least 4,000 in Ice Cream Factory,
you will earn 1,000 NP for that game! (It's great because you can earn 6,000
NP a day for playing each of these games 3 times. :)
It is a time saving tip, because once you know the minimum score you need to
earn those 1,000 NP, you can play until you reach that score! Then, after collecting
the maximum number of Neopoints for that game, you can and go on to a new game
- - and earn more NP! (Of course, if you want to try for a trophy, please keep
playing for a chance at your highest possible score! :)
4. There is a faster way to play games like Cliffhanger and Poogle Solitaire!
For example, when playing Cliffhanger, you can click on 4 - 6 letters at
a time, not just one! The game loads to the next window just as quickly as if
you had clicked only one letter. This is a major time saver, especially if you
don't have a fast Internet connection.
You can use a similar method to play Poogle Solitaire! It's very helpful for
players with slow connections. If you have solved the puzzle and written down
the steps, you can click the squares for each move before the page fully loads
(as long as you can find the boxes that you need to click in that move) This
can cut your playing time in half, allowing you more time to play other games
and earn more NP.
5. Arrange the furniture in your NeoHome with complete ease!
The method is simple! Download the newest version of Netscape and you can delight
in arranging and rearranging the furnishings in your NeoHome without a single
glitch!
Since I began using Netscape 6.2, I have had NO PROBLEMS working on my NeoHome!
It's so much fun, and my pets are so happy! We can't wait until we are done
decorating and have our first party!
6. If your keyboard freezes while playing Ice Cream Factory, you can fix
it!
More than a few times, while trying to help Adee escape the warehouse (maze
of boxes) in the Ice Cream Factory, my keyboard has frozen up on me. I have
only had this happen during this game, and suspect it can (or has) happened
to other NeoPets players.
It's easy to unfreeze the game! Just press the "Escape" button! When it asks
"Go Back to the Factory. Are you sure?" just press "NO". When you
return to the game, you will find your keyboard will, once again, help Adee
to move with ease!
I hope that these tips will help you to save time and earn more NP each
day in Neopia! These hints all work for me, and I know they will work for you,
