About Attlantia:

Greetings, my name is Attlantia and I am a Peophin. This is pretty much my life in a nut shell, or shall I say, clam shell...

Many years ago I was born into a royal family. My parents were the rulers of the great continent of Atlantis. Atlantis was a mystical island of Peophins, floating on the sea. I was to young to recall it, but I have heard the tale many times. An angry mob of Grarrls invaded our precious colony one day, almost destroying the island and its inhabitants. Outraged, my father cast a mighty spell over the island, causing it to sink deep under the waves. It sat at the very depths of the ocean, sealed so no member of the colony could escape to the “horrendous world above”. As I grew older, I became fascinated with the outside world. I longed to leave Atlantis, but as the Princess I could not. My father kept everyone inside for their own protection against the fierce outsiders. I read many books about the sky. I yearned to see the colourful sunset, and the fluffy white clouds. I was sure that not all of the residents of the outside world were so fierce. One day, two strangers managed to enter Atlantis. Their names were Zhale and Aquaphilly. I kept them a secret from the rest of the colony, for I knew that if they were revealed they would be killed. They told me of the world above, and convinced me that all the world was not evil. I decided to leave the colony, and start a new life up above. The three of us snuck out, and I have never returned.

When I arrived on land, I was stunned by the beauty of this world. I asked many questions about things, but mostly about the sky. Zhale took me to watch the sunset. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. Zhale and Aquaphilly’s owner, Victoria, took me in as her own pet. She was a caring girl who took good care of all of us. I was so happy with my new family. One day, as a surprise, Victoria bought me a faerie Paint Brush. At first I didn’t know what it was, but she explained to me that it would give me wings and I would be able to fly! I was overjoyed at the thought, and immediately used it. I was ecstatic! Right away I began to fly through the skies on my new wings. It was wonderful. I loved flying, to soar through fields of clouds and to swim in a radiant sunlit sky were joys that were never available to me in my youth. I never could have guessed that this wouldn’t last long. Sadly, back in Atlantis, my people despised me. They thought of me as a cold hearted traitor for leaving them, my father among them. He and the rest of the colony would watch me dart through the clouds through a magical crystal ball. Furious, my father cast a spell that would rob me of my wings. One day while I was flying, I heard a voice in my head. I immediatley recognized it as my father’s. “Attlantia. You have betrayed us all. As a punishment you will no longer have your precious wings.” After listening to his message, I looked at my wings in horror. They were crumbling away in front of my eyes, the pieces fluttering toward the earth. Suddenly, I was falling. I screamed for help, kicking my hooves in the air. Luckily, I had been soaring right above the Rainbow Pool. I landed with a splash in the magical waters. Right before my eyes I saw the colours leak onto my fur. I looked at myself and saw that I was every colour of the rainbow! Saddened at the thought that I would never fly again, my beautiful new coat lifted my spirits. My family was crushed for me, and gave lots of support. So now I accept my fate to forever swim through the waters. I no longer yearn for the wings I once had. I realized that I didn’t need wings all along. I had all the happiness and joy right here, with my family.
