Pet Name: Luvfor Owner: apprenticeranger Breed: Gnorbu About Luvfor: "You summoned me?" Luvfor leaned against the door frame, hand on her hip. She didn't bother with formalities when she spoke to Jhudora, though nearly everyone else did. After all, she was Jhudora's most important source of information. She could say whatever she liked. Jhudora raised her head, looking at Fo through her dark curtain of hair. "What have you got for me today?" Fo strode over to the table where she sat and plopped down across from her. Smoothing a faded paper over the table, she said, "A map. A copy of one, anyways. Wouldn't want dear Illusen to find she was missing a map! She might think I was... up to something." As Jhudora bent over the map with intent, Fo allowed a small smile to stretch across her face. Little did the Dark faerie know that she was working for Illusen, too. "They're planning to cross the mountains, here, and then attack your camp from the south." Fo didn't add that another of Illusen's armies would march in from the northwest. Nor did she say that three dragons and a dozen trolls had agreed to fight with Illusen as well. As an afterthought, she added, "I heard rumors among the ranks that she's got some sort of fantastic new weapon, but no one would say what." Jhudora sighed and glared up at Fo. "That's it? Marching from the south, mysterious new weapon? I need more, Fo." Fo snorted. "What can I say? Things have been pretty slow lately. The attack isn't for two fortnights yet, and you already know what's going on with the battle in the Lost Desert." "If that's so, maybe I should stir up some trouble," Jhudora sneered. She pulled out a map of her own and began tracing routes with her long, bony finger. "I'll have the third cavalry march up to the palace in a day or two. You did say some of Illusen's troops are stationed there, didn't you? Fyora always has sided with her," she pouted. "They don't have any nasty surprises in store, do they?" "As long as you're wary of those beasts Fyora keeps locked in the dungeons, you should be fine. They're not suspecting to be attacked there; they don't think you have the nerve to mess with Fyora." Both women laughed. Jhudora's high peals of laughter rang out over Fo's low chuckle. Feeling she had done her job, Fo stood to leave. "All right, you're free to go." Jhudora waved Fo away impassively. She rubbed her hands together. "Looks like I've got some new information to work with," she cackled. Fo strode coolly out the door without a backward glance. It was a dangerous game she played, stealing the secrets of both sides. But she was paid handsomely, and it gave Fo a thrill to have such a risky job. The next morning, she would be sure to warn Illusen about the attack, but she wasn't worried about it. Earlier that day she'd told Illusen she was sure Jhudora was planning something, as things had been quiet for so long. So Fo ambled down the street with confidence, the glow of twilight casting long shadows in her wake.
