MERIDELL - Greetings my Fellow Neopians! You may remember my article from last
weeks Neopian Times "Speaking
the Meridell Tongue". Well, If you’ve been reading the news updates
you might have heard that you can now purchase you own piece of land in Meridell!
I thought it only fitting that I would give you all a thorough report on the
real estate in the pleasant world of Meridell since I’ve been come so fascinated
with this lovely land.
So, you’ve decided you’d like to buy a plot of land in Meridell? Well, Let
us go over the basics first. A piece of land in this wondrous medieval land
is going to cost you quite a bit. 8000 NP to be exact. Yes, that is a lot more
then the basic 1000 NP for a bit of land in Neopia central but you must consider
that there are many advantages of living in Meridell.
First of all, you will be right in the centre of all of the brouhaha that
has been surrounding Meridell ever since it came into being. You, being a citizen
of Meridell, will be one of the first Neopians to know all about the advancement
of the Meridell plot as it comes out! It is always good to be well-informed
and living in Meridell will certainly do just that!
Enjoy the Battledome? Meridell is going to be home to the next war, and if
you’re strong in the battle dome you’ll certainly want to live right in Meridell
to be prepared to start fighting as soon as the war begins. On the other hand,
If you are a strong pacifist or just not much of a battler then it may not be
a very good idea to live where a war will soon take place. There are two options
for this, either you choose somewhere else to live or wait until the war is
finished before moving to Meridell.
Not very fond of Jhudora? Maybe even slight frightened of her? Never fear,
In Meridell you’LL live in the vicinity of Illusen’s Glade! Not only does this
mean you won’t have to worry about running into Jhudora (Since the two of them
don’t get along very well) but you can also get some fantastic rewards for bringing
Illusen the items that she needs. Living near Illusen will also give you a good
advantage when doing her quests.
Meridell is also home to many great games that can give you quite a profit!
Some of my favourite games are located in Meridell.
They are as follows.
Cheeseroller - A very exciting game, and quite profitable if you’re
good at it. It’s really simple, you just have your pet roll a slice of cheese
down a hill as fast at they possibly can!
Ultimate Bullseye - A simple Meridell game that is not as simple as
it looks! Try to hit the bullseye and if you do you’LL be rewarded with a decent
amount of NP and some neat power ups to get you some extra points.
Potato Counter - Maybe not the most exciting game in the world, but
the Kacheek who lets you count is potatoes is very friendly and he’LL reward
you with NP for counting his potatoes correctly.
Shapeshifter - Are you fond of puzzles? Then Shapeshifter is the perfect
game for you. Challenge your wits in one of Meridell’s first ever games and
earn some NP while you’re at it!
Kiss the Mortog - Do you adore those old faerie tales about a princess
kissing a frog to turn him back into a prince? Make the faerie tale a reality
with this fun game that’s also located in Meridell, Choose which Mortog to kiss
and see if they turn into a prince!
Guess the Weight - One of the advantages of living right by this game
is that you will be one of the first people to find out when it begins! Every
day a game of "Guess the Weight" is started where you must guess the weight
of a Marrow. You can win some fabulous prizes for guessing correctly!
Not only are the games great in Meridell, but so are the shops! There are only
two shops at the moment, but they are both quite nice. The first, Merifoods,
has some delicious Medieval food for you and your pets to sink your teeth into.
Everything from Potatoes to Marrow they’ve got it! Plus, most of the Meridell
foods, sell for high prices in the Shop Wizard because of how new they are.
So you can also make a high profit off of buying and selling at Merifoods!
The second shop is the Ye Old Pet Pets shop, and by the name, you can tell
they specialise in Meridell Pet Pets. Some of these pet pets are quite cute,
and I am sure that your pet would love to own one!
One of the last points I’d like to touch before I end the article are the citizens
of Meridell. It is always important to be aware of the people you’LL be living
among before moving into a NeoHome. The people of Meridell are all very pleasant
folk, from the potato Kacheek to Illusen they will all make you feel welcome
at your new home if you choose to live there.
Now that you know more about Meridell you can decide whether or not the 8000
NP to buy a plot of land is worth it. It is in my humble opinion that there
are plenty of wonderful reasons to live in Meridell, but it is really up to
you! Good luck in your NeoHome hunting and I hope my article help you with your
decision! |
