MERIDELL - Earlier today, a complaint was filed to Judge Hog of the Defenders
of Neopia regarding a small yellow Petpet lurking in the Meridell forests. Allegedly,
this small critter was using a large crossbow to fire at a wooden target. Sources
claim that some bolts cleared the target, creating a potential threat for innocent
Meridell residents.

Olde Petpets, the medieval world's only Petpet shop, recalls the suspect:
"He's just a small little Turtum. He would never hurt a fly, though he
does seem to have a strange obsession with crossbows, and he loves shooting
at apples." When tracked down, the yellow Turtum was found firing a bolt
at an apple-- that is, an apple delicately balanced on Punchbag Bob's head!
The local authorities immediately placed the young Petpet under arrest for the
reckless endangerment of both the residents of the area, and a Battledome classic.
The trial is to be held at the Justice Hall, with Judge Hog presiding. The
Judge stated: "Though we may have many more frightening cases here at the
Defenders of Neopia,
we do not encourage Petpets to fire crossbows at one player Battledome opponents.
It is imperative that we show all of Neopia that playing with weapons is neither
fun nor cute." While Radicals demand that the young Turtum is immediately
fed to Florg for his crimes, no authorities spoke against this course of action.
Speaking on the issue, Judge Hog vehemently denied the rumours that criminal
Petpets have been fed to Florg as punishment. We decided to do an exclusive
interview, to bring you the truth.
Reporter: Judge Hog, is it true that the Defenders of Neopia have done
nothing to prevent Florg from eating Petpets?
Judge Hog: Florg? Petpets? We have never been informed of any of this.
Reporter: Riiiight... but whatever happened to that Alkenore who was
arrested on the first day of Hiding?
Judge Hog: Just like all the others, we fed hi-- erm, we, well, uh,
set him free. Yes! That's it! We set him free!
Reporter: You set a dangerous creature free on Neopia? Isn't it true
that he was convicted of selling fellow Alkenores to the Cheese Roller Techo
to make Alkenore cheese?!
Judge Hog: Well, um, not really...
Reporter: Then you admit to giving Florg Petpets to eat?
Judge Hog: Look at the time! I really must be off. Duty calls!
Perhaps Judge Hog isn't the picture-perfect, model hero we thought he was.
But more on topic: what will happen to this poor little Turtum? Yes, he fired
bolts at apples atop the head of Punchbag Bob. But isn't it true that thousands
of pets have laid waste to him using explosives and lightning bolts? And it
is rumoured that thousands of players have helped the Turtum fire at the target
for a small Neopoint reward. So why is an innocent Petpet in jail? Why is an
innocent Petpet in immediate danger of being fed to Florg?? A conspiracy could
be brewing... let's have another talk with Judge Hog.
Reporter: Judge Hog? Can we speak with you?
Judge Hog: You again! Of course not! Guards! Get them out of here!
