Once upon a time there lived an Acara who was scared of everything. Her owner,
her petpet, she was even scared of her shadow! This young little Acara's name
was Polly. We begin the story with Polly playing with her friends.
"OK, Polly! It's your turn! Truth or dare?" one of her friends asked. Polly
shivered from head to toe.
"I-I-I'm scared guys... What should I choose?" she asked keeping on eye on
her very scary looking Meep-it.
"DARE!!" They all said at once scaring Polly right out of her fur. She screamed
with fear and hid back into a corner.
"All right then... Dare....." she said slowly. Her friends smiled evilly while
Polly was trying desperately to get away from them.
"We dare you to pet, Molly, your Meep-it!" They said. Polly turned white and
her knees were knocking.
"But-but-but I'm scared!" Polly said.
"Oh! You're scared of everything!" one of them said.
"Yeah! You're even scared of of a cute little Fuzzle!" one of them taunted.
"Well, those evil ones can be very scary!" Polly said.
"Polly's scared of a Fuzzle! Polly's scared of a Fuzzle!" they chanted. Polly
started crying as she ran away from them.

Polly slowly crept up to her mother. She tugged on her mother's pant leg and
looked up.
"Mummy, are you ashamed of me? You know, cause I'm scared of everything?" Polly
asked.
"No, honey, of course not! Why would you ask a silly thing like that?" the
mother asked.
"Well last night my friends made fun of me because I was afraid of Fuzzles,
and Molly, and everything!" she cried.
"Well, is there anything to come over this fear of everything? What aren't
you scared of?" Mum asked.
"Well, nothing... You a little, I guess. You still scare me, though," Polly
said. Mum chuckled a little.
"Well, those super strong pets aren't scared of anything! Not even the Monoceraptor!
Maybe I can train to become strong!" Polly suggested. So the next day Mum used
all her Neopoints to buy a Mau Codestone to train Polly. As Polly entered the
big training arena she saw big strong pets fighting against other strong pets,
and a group of small Neopets in a circle listening to an old Techo. Polly was
frightened by the strange pets and ran outside the gates, screaming.
A soft, kind voice filled her ears. She looked up and saw a red Nimmo dressed
in karate clothing. For some strange reason Polly wasn't scared of this powerful
Nimmo
"Hello! My name is Polly! Are you Ryshu?" Polly asked. The Nimmo nodded and
held out a paw.
"Come on in, young friend and I will teach you," Ryshu said. Polly grasped
Ryshu's paw and walked in slowly. He took her to a completely empty room and
the training began. Two hours later Polly walked out of the training center,
one level higher. Polly was so excited she couldn't contain herself. Until she
spotted her shadow.
"What is that?!?" she screamed, running around trying to get away from it.
The next day Polly went back to the school. She finished training and was another
level higher. This continued on for a month. Until she was so strong that she
could beat the Snowager by just looking at it, and she could beat the Monoceraptor
by just snapping her fingers. She was so strong that she was starting to teach
Ryshu some things.
Yet she was still scared of everything. You see, she didn't really beat the
Snowager by just looking at it. When she saw it she froze of fright. The Snowager
left cause he was thinking that Polly was really bogus and everyday Polly didn't
teach Ryshu anything important. She just warned him about an odd looking pebble.
She was still scared as scared can be.
One day Polly came up to her Mum. She tugged on her pant leg and looked up.
"Mummy, I'm still scared of everything, do you know how to fix it?" she asked.
"Well, maybe you can ask Kauvara to make a potion for you so you won't be scared!"
Mum suggested. Polly brightened up. She ran up to the potions shop with Mum.
Making sure to dodge scary trees, bushes, and frightening rocks. They opened
the shop door and walked inside.
"Hello? Miss Kauvara? Are you here?" Polly asked. The Starry Kau walked into
the room.
"Hello? Oh, hi! What can we do for you today?" Kauvara asked. Polly turned
on her heel and ran back out the door, screaming.
"Oookaay... what can I do for you?" Kauvara asked looking up to Mum.
"Um... as you can see. My Acara is very frightened by anything she sees. Do
you think you can make a potion so she won't be?" Mum asked.
"Well, we can try, but we're gonna need her to test on, OK?" Kauvara asked.
Mum nodded and went searching for Polly. She found her near the Rainbow fountain
huddled up and crying. Mum picked her up and brought her back to Kauvara's shop.
When Polly saw Kauvara again she kicked and cried and tried to get away but
Mum held her back.
"It's OK! It's OK! Kauvara isn't going to hurt you!" Mum reassured Polly. Kauvara
nodded. Polly stopped crying and looked up at Kauvara.
"C-can you help me?" Polly asked. Kauvara nodded again. Polly smiled a little
and jumped out of Mum's hands. Kauvara and Polly started making potions together.
The first potion was an icky, smelly, green potion.
"Drink it up!" Kauvara said.
"Are you sure?" Polly asked. Kauvara nodded and Polly drank it up. Her paws
started to mutate and her fur turned into scales. She had turned into a frog!
Polly looked at her flippers. She croaked and tried to hop away but Kauvara
caught her. She grabbed a Green Acara Morphing potion and put it up to Polly's
mouth. Polly drank it up and returned to her own self.
They tried many different potions. One turned Polly into a Gelert, one turned
her into Dr. Sloth, and one did nothing at all. The day was starting to end
and Polly started to give up. They walked home and Polly was still scared of
the trees and the rocks. Kauvara didn't help at all. One day Polly walked up
to her Mum. She tugged on her pant leg and looked up.
"Mummy, are you ashamed of me?" she asked.
"Honey, I don't care if you were in the gallery of evil or if you win the Neobel
award. You're still my Acara and I love you for that. Being scared of everything
won't change that," Mum said and smiled.
"You're right, Mummy. I love you too! Now I think I can try a little harder
to be braver! I can do it Mummy!" Polly said. Mum picked Polly up and gave her
a big hug.
"You can do it, Polly!" Mum said. Polly jumped down from Mum's hands and smiled
up at her. Then she turned around and saw her shadow.
"AAAHHH!!! What is that thing?!?" Polly screamed and ran to her room.
