Kiaran: In the Maze - An Interview

by kero329

Is Kiaran (the star of Mummy Maze, for those who don't know) really, well, popular? Every day, people play Mummy Maze, but do they really think about this risk taking Kyrii? Many of you don't even know whether Kiaran is a boy or a girl! Stars of games, nameless or not, are usually not very popular, but it is brought to my attention, that Kiaran risks his life every day to get you Neopoints, and I think that's pretty good, don't you? I am going to interview this risky Kyrii, to see just how it feels about its situation.

Kero329: So, Kiaran, really, what is your take on not being very popular, and risking your life every day?

Kiaran: Well, I don't mind the life risking part, it is rather fun, but when people don't even acknowledge you, it gets rough sometimes.

K329: I looked in the past thirty or so Neopian Times article sections, and there aren't many featuring Mummy Maze... and none about you at all?

K: Well, it gets lonely and boring, not very many people have the patience to play my game, so they just don't play it, but what they don't realise is that they can make a lot of NP from my game!

K329: Do you really mind not being very popular?

K: Well, I have my little group of friends and family, but they don't like the fact that I go into the Mummy Mazes every day.

K329: How do YOU feel about being a risk taker?

K: It is fun [giggles] but that's only my point of view, some people (or NeoPets) might just like to live laid back style, that's just not the type for me!

K329: What would you say the best part of your job is?

K: I would have to say that allowing people to expand their budget is one good thing, but overall, I like the adrenaline!

K329: Getting more personal, how did your friends and family react when you told them you were planning a game like Mummy Maze?

K: Some of them really pushed me forward into doing it (thank you Korandio!) and others just pulled me back (look where I am now Ma!). It took them a while to get used to it, and some of them still haven't gotten over it yet (don't worry, Uncle Jiffy, I'm just fine!) !

K329: What really inspired you to make your game?

K: I think I was getting a bit bored of regular life at home, so I decided to go out and do something different! After a while of exploring Neopia, I fell in a hole near the Lost Desert, and I came across the Mummy Maze. I then figured I would open it to the public as a little game they could use to get Neopoints in return, all they had to do to get good points was make me explore and have fun!

K329: That's a great story! How exactly did the public react to your game compared to how you thought they would?

K: In the beginning, many people did think it would be a good game to play, but the popularity grew less and less, now only about five thousand people play each day. I thought I would be popular, and stay popular, but it never happened that way, I was so disappointed!

K329: That's sad. Do you ever get scared of the mummies you fight each day?

K: Not really. Over time, they just grew like a little stone in the road, slowing you down, but many players think of them as a big threat to the game.

K329: The obstacles in your game, what do you think about them?

K: I think the obstacles are really just adding to the challenge and fun of the game! I think its great if that's how my players think of them too!

K329: How do you feel about your high score table being so small? I looked in the top 200 and there were only 195 high scores!

K: I don't really care about the high scores, but if I were aiming for popularity, I would be disappointed because of that.

K329: Getting into even more personal questions, what is your favourite colour?

K: I have a few. First of all, there is green, green like me. Next there is red, red as in red mummies and defence coins. After that there is gold, gold as in 5 points gold, and lastly there is blue, a challenging mummy blue!

K329: It really looks like you love your Mummy Maze!

K: Yep!

K329: What about favourite numbers?

K: I have a few again! Six as in my favourite mummy level, fourteen as in the number of people who encouraged me to do my best and 6000 for the person who has the high score in my game!

K329: It looks like you have put a lot of thought into your personals!

K: Everyone has their ways!

K329: Well, just for the record, are you a girl or a boy?

K: Hmmmm. I would like to know that myself, maybe NeoPets will release it soon!

K329: You mean, you don't even know?

K: Nope, I don't!

K329: Well, thank you very much for that wonderful interview, I hope now people will know a lot more about you than they did before!!!

K: Your welcome for my time, anyone is free to visit me in the Mummy Maze!

Overall, I think Kiaran is a very nice Kyrii, and I would like your opinions, please Neomail me!
