About SnowCone_:

My parents told me not to go too far away-Did I listen? No, of course not! It didn't matter that I was in Alaska, a place never before seen by my eyes. All that mattered was that I was bored and I didn't want to sit here in the cold and rot. So I didn't. I stood up, my legs cracking just a teeny bit. Taking in my surroundings, I noticed that there were many tall icebergs around me. I decided to climb one. It took a long time, but when I reached the top, I knew it was worth it. When I looked down, I could see all of Alaska stretching before my eyes. (Well, not all of it, but most of it, anyway!

After a while I realized that it was colder up here than it was down there. It was getting dark, too. I tried to get down, but was afraid. My short legs couldn't reach any of the good footholds. I was trapped on the top of an iceberg in the middle of Alaska. Not a very nice thought. I sighed and started walked toward the middle of the iceberg (it was shaped strangely, and it didn't have a point.)

I sat down and must have drifted off because my eyes snapped open a while later. I had heard a sound. Not neccesarily a growl, but something close to it. I looked to my left and saw two glittering eyes staring at me. It was very dark, but I could see this huge animal perfectly. It was a POLAR BEAR! The butterflies in my stomach soon woke up from their "nap" and did a very ungraceful dance around my bones. My eyes widened in fear, my heart skipped a beat. But I needn't have worried. A moment later, I heard a small squeak and saw a small blue Bruce. (an animal sort of like a penguin) My Bruce flapped his read scarf and scared that big bad polar bear away! I smiled, and the Bruce's ears wiggled. He reached down and grabbed a handful of snow up off the ground. He reached into his pocket (he was wearing a tux) and brought out a cone. He put the snow on the cone and handed it to me. It didn't taste very good...but that was OK. I stood up and, still licking my "Snow Cone" put my arm around the Bruce's small shoulders. "Come on Snow Cone, let's go get some cherry flavoring" said I, and Snow Cone wiggled his ears again.

Snow Cone and I now live together with Snow Cone's foster brother, Smoth. I have never had the chance to repay Snow Cone's kindness to me, but I hope that I will be able to some day.
