About WiseThistlewood:

You step through the door of your first class at Number 12 Grimmauld Place's infamous school and pick out a spot amongst the many students already seated. A single enormous round table serves as all the students desks and from its midst grows a strange tree which you cannot identify. At the head of the class you notice a bobbing hat behind the only other piece of furniture in the classroom; a large ornate looking oak desk adorned with many potions and smaller plants. Wondering if this was some trick of flotation magic you stare intently at the crooked hat, which suddenly leaps up on the desk revealing an amphibious professor.

"Ribbit! Welcome you all to Herbology I do! Professor Thistlewood am I," the odd looking professor croaks.

Before you even come to grips with the strange froglike individual standing before you, (and his even stranger mannerisms) your eyes shift to the teachers wizardly hat again, where a large slug is crawling about. Noticing your stare Professor Thistlewood reaches up and plucks the squirming slug, or more accurately (as you would soon learn in Professor Cray's class) a slorg, from atop his head.

"Meeting my familiar are you! Saying hello to Slippidy you should be," Thistlewood croaked, staring fondly at the slimey creature. Your teacher was keeping a slorg as a familiar, a very unusual choice indeed.....you realize that your first year at Number 12 Grimmauld Place is going to be an interesting one.

"To be successful in my class these books you must first read," Professor Thistlewood mumbles, pointing to two textbooks before drawing a piece of chalk from one of the folds of his flowing wizards robe. "About the woodland creatures and there interractions with Herbology will you learn from 'Tree Homes'," the Professor croaks in his amphibious dialect, "and teaching you about medicinal vegetation will 'My Garden'." With your texts explained (sort of) Professor Thistlewood approaches the only chalkboard and begins his lessons. Slippidy slides down the front of Thistlewoods robe, dissappearing into a pouch at his belt.

You notice that Professor Thistlewood's Slug, er, Slorg has crept across the top of the chalkboard, somehow escaping the pouch at the teachers side. As you watch, you amusement grows tenfold as the slimey creature slowly crawls straight across the note, smearing a portion of it beyond recognition. The oblivious Professor Thistlewood continues his lecture and it is at this time you notice that while he speaks like Yoda, the good professor's writing is scholarly. You chuckle inwardly as you leave the first day's lecture. Yes, your first year at Number 12 Grimmauld Place will definitely be an interesting experience (to say the very least).
