Unfortunately the thieves realized too late after knocking out and robbing the helpless mynci of his seemingly innocuous pumpkins that he was in the process of feeding the dreaded ancient beast rising from its hundred year slumber to punish neopetkind. It could only be quelled with fifty expertly grown pumpkins at specifically 1:34am, and with the thieves intervention the ritual was ruined and neopia experienced an apocalyptic terror that it would never recover from.

At least they had plenty of pumpkins for their belated Halloween party!
