"Happy Chomby Day!" smiles a cheerful Island Chomby as she approaches you and introduces herself. "My name is Leilanianah and I'm honored to have been chosen for the spotlight on this beautiful day."

"You know, I'm a year old today!" she said as she absent-mindedly drew a figure with her paw in the sand. "Last year on Chomby Day my owner heard there were baby Chombies up for adoption and she adopted me! It was really exciting and I was happy to have such a nice owner. She tells me that Chombies are rare and that she's lucky to have me, but I think I'm the lucky one." She winks at you.

"Rose, my owner, has always taken good care of me. Every day she'd take me to my homeland of Tyrannia. I really loved it there! There were lots of other Chombies, we'd eat free omelettes and she even took me to a Chomby and the Fungus Balls concert. It was great! I've been a fan of theirs ever since!"

"I really loved it in Tyrannia." She says as she tips her head to one side to get a better look at you. "But one day we went exploring and I discovered Mystery Island," she sighs dreamily and continues. "Just the sight of the glistening shoreline, the towering volcano and shining sands and I knew I was at home. I could tell the beach was for me. Tyrannia was nice and I really liked it there, but it wasn't very scenic, a little too rocky and plain for me."

"Once I got to exploring Mystery Island a little more, I decided I wanted to be painted Island too! I saw plenty of Island-painted pets roaming around and I loved the color so much!! But Rose told me Chombies couldn't be painted Island. She said it was probably because we were Tyrannian pets."

"But I was determined! I loved that color and I wanted to be painted that color so bad! So I talked Rose into saving up and buying a paintbrush for me. It took her a long time because they were so expensive, but I really wanted this. Then I waited patiently. I thought if I waited patiently and made my wishes to the wishing well, maybe someday I could be painted Island."

"I visited the Island Mystic a lot. I think he's a really smart guy and I really respect him, but sometimes I wonder if his predictions aren't bogus, stuff about plushies and encounters with a Darigan Eyrie. None of that stuff ever happened to me! Until one day when I went and he greeted me like usual. But today he prediction was different! He said 'Today your wish will come true.' I was so excited! Could it be?"

"I ran to Neopian Central as fast as I could to read the Daily News and sure enough it said that the Creators had tweaked the paintbrush to allow Chombies to be painted in that color. I couldn't believe it! All of my wishing had finally paid off and now I could be painted!"

"I found Rose in one of the shops and dragged her off to the band to get my brush out of our Safety Deposit Box. We went straight to the Rainbow Fountain (hoping we wouldn't encounter the Pant Devil on the way, and she dipped the brush in the magical waters to activate it and touched it to my yellow scales. Sure enough, I was Island before I knew it. And I couldn't have been more proud."

"I love my color." She said with a broad smile. "I think it suits me and I love living on Mystery Island. I've changed a lot in this last year, but moving to Mystery Island and being painted was my favorite part."

She nods at you, "Well, I hope you enjoy the rest of your Chomby Day! I know I will!"
