You hear all the time of kind neopians helping eachother out, you hear the stories of how great Neopia Central is and all the brilliant things you can buy. So I guess it will come as a surprise to everyone that I never even knew any other species existed, I never knew what petpets were, or petpetpets, I never knew of anyone existing but myself. I only ever remember being alone. But being alone isn't always a bad thing! I live on an island in the middle of the sea, just northwest of Mystery Island. It has beautiful sandy beaches, bright blue skies and crystal clear waters. You could call it paradise, all to myself! And I guess nobody knew it existed, because it took decades before I ever met another living being. You can only imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon a little creature swimming in the sea - Mazzew, I think it was called. I had always liked living in solitude, enjoying my Island Paradise all to myself. I never realised the happiness one tiny little Mazzew could bring... It was at the point it dawned on me, I wasn't alone in this world. Misty and I had so much fun every single day, but I couldn't help thinking of what more was out there, what else did I not know? My questions were answered far too soon when a young lady turned up on my island one day. On some wooden floating device. Having Misty the Mazzew there with me gave me extra confidence and rather than running, I decided to move in for a closer look. She saw me! The young explorer lady saw me... She came walking towards me and I just didn't know how to react. I froze, as still as a statue. She seemed to be just as cautious of me as I was of her. "H... hello?" I heard her quietly mumble. "I won't hurt you" I didn't respond, just stayed there, still. She kept talking to me, but my nerves got the better of me and I ran away! A few days went by until I saw her another time, again she made an effort to talk to me and this strange human actually seemed very friendly and nice. She kept coming to visit me, day after day, for months. I was beginning to trust her, and as I was learning more about her, she was learning more about me. She even drew me, one time! She showed me pictures of these far away lands which all seemed so alien to me, there were big buildings, and castles, and houses for many many neopets just like myself. A land floating in the sky, on the clouds, and a land hot and made from lava! It was all so amazing, and one day, she said she will take me there to see it for myself! Who knows what the future holds for me...
