 Pet Name: 5nowgirl Owner: airmansbaby Breed: Kyrii About 5nowgirl: "Just a pet." That phrase has haunted her for quite a while now. That's what they had called her. "Just a pet." Maybe I should back up a little bit. Snow was once a loving cherished pet to a little girl. They did everything together! Hide and seek was their all time favorite game and trust me, they played their fair share of it. Snow had always been told she was the girl's best friend and was 'part of the family'. Was she so silly to actually believe her? What could she have done that was so wrong to be referred to as "just a pet"? One day Snow found out that her and her 'family' were moving away. She was so excited to get to go on a new adventure for the first time in her life. To meet new people and see new things! Her joy was quickly demolished however when she learned there were 'no pets allowed' in their new house. She found out she'd just be thrown in the pound when her family left. "What kind of 'family' would do this to one of their own?" she thought. The little girl cried and cried when she found out, trying everything to be able to keep her little pet Kyrii, but soon stopped crying because her parents told her if she'd behave they'd get her a pet Koi since they don't need much maintenance. "I can't really blame her," thought Snow. "It's always exciting to get new pets. I just don't know where I'll end up." Moving day. She got to spend this last day with the little girl. They played so much hide and go seek that they were tuckered out. The little girl took a nap and that's when her parents took Snow to the pound. Snow, having always been that girl's pet, had no idea what to do or even expect in this kind of situation. She had always been a 'house pet' and hadn't even gone outside without her owner. That's when I stepped in. I'm Kat. I saw poor little Snow sitting in a pound cell all by herself, her little dress torn and tattered already and her fur all a mess. She looked at me with hopeful eyes as she saw me looking at her. I just had to adopt her, she looked so scared! I took her home, fed her, clothed her, gave her a room all to herself. She got to meet her new brothers and sisters and quickly learned that to me, she is family. She will never be thrown out like yesterday's tri-nana peel and will always have a special place in my home and in my heart.
