Hello Neopians! Since the launch of the Solitaire Soiree on January 29th (1/29), our team has been closely monitoring the leaderboards and your feedback. We discovered a bug in the new Sakhmet Solitaire II game that has affected the integrity of the scoring in the leaderboards and event. We have deployed an update to the web version of the game and submitted a corresponding patch for the Companion App to mobile app stores. This update ensures that all game session scoring are tracked accurately and fairly. To ensure the competition remains fair we've decided to reset and restart the event to provide a clean slate for everyone. All scores submitted between Jan 29th (1/29) and Feb 1st (2/1) will be cleared from the event leaderboard on Feb 2nd, but the page will be left open for anyone who wants to practice!

The Solitaire Soiree will officially relaunch on Monday, February 2nd 9:00 NST and end Sunday, February 15th 11:59 NST. Prizes will be awarded on Monday, February 16th. Thank you for your patience and for helping us make this new event the best it can be! Get those decks ready!

You may have noticed Gadgadsbogen and Cancelled Day are not on the the Pet Day Schedule on the Neoboards, for those of you who follow along to leave item suggestions, and we wanted to note that we are planning on reducing some themed days moving forward. We did not make this decision lightly, and want to assure you that this should not mean less content for you to enjoy. The time normally spent on smaller days, will be dedicated to doing more items and higher quality items for all Pet Days (all 56) and the big holidays (like the upcoming Valentine's Day).

You will also see a change in the frequency of contests/spotlights, but our main goal is to shift resources away from smaller holidays and/or contests with not as many participants, and move our time towards doing more items for your favourite themed days and contests. Think more items, higher valuable items, updated prize pools, and more.

We understand this news may bring some questions and we want to open the floor to you. As such, we will be introducing a new section in the Neopian Times Editorial called "Ask Adler". This will be a channel where you can ask questions or share concerns about contests and spotlights with Adler directly where she can give advice or feedback. As always, feel free to submit any questions, comments and/or concerns with us via the Editorial.

Pet slots got a shiny new update! In case you haven't heard, we are adding Pet slots for everyone! Here are the details:

Now all Neopet accounts will start with 7 free Pet slots. Active Premium members receive an additional 7 slots as a perk. Up to 12 more Pet slots can be permanently purchased from the NC Mall. In total, now there is a maximum of 26 Pet slots available.

Some of you may have noticed we’ve been working behind the scenes to improve the Block a Player feature and we’re happy to share that it’s now fully upgraded and functional even on Neoboards!

The Sakhmet Soiree Begins January 29th (1/29)!

Feeling the stress of ruling the desert and everything thats been going on in Neopia lately, Queen Amira has taken up a new hobby: Solitaire! Under the guidance of her friend, the Sakhmet Solitaire Chomby, she’s become quite the expert. Now, she's inviting all of Neopia to test their skills in the first ever Solitaire Soiree event. Play the new Sakhmet Solitaire II on the classic website or the Companion App to compete for the Top 100! Exclusive trophies, stamps, and more are up for grabs.

How to Participate:

Dates: The event begins January 29th and lasts for two weeks.

Submissions: Submit 3 scores per day (4 for Premium players).

New NC Item: Boost your attempts with the Extra Score Submission Fortune Cookie, also launching on the 29th (1/29)!

Leaderboards: Your single highest score during the event determines your final rank. Don’t worry about a bad round, only your best score from the two week event counts toward your final leaderboard placement.

Requirements: If participating on the Neopets Companion App, ensure your account is connected via NeoPass to qualify!
